Cec Rodgers is Cec Rogers

To the editor in charge:
Accidently you have probably spelt Rogers wrongly as Rodgers.
You may see newspaper write-ups on

For some reason I had not noticed before.

I think it's about time I got Brad V (fellow Gold Coaster) to kill Colin, Mike & Graham whilst I look the other way.
I'll fix it after I check with Johnny Hogg.
Hoggy's OZ records would be by far more superior to anyone else's. He's been keeping them since he was 14. He'll be 60 on October 25. :D
I trust you'll be going to Barry Michael's show today (Sunday 8th - Oz time)
Cheers

BTW Young Victor, if I went by Newspaper reports, I'd have to change every Kiwi's & Fijian's surname (or part of it) just about after every fight/promotion.

Hello Anton,

I don't envy your responsibilities one bit with Boxrec and I understand what you are saying about our Asian name misspelling in fight-cards.
For some reason they are excusable.

Yes I will be attending the Barry Michael's promotion today at Moorabbin, I am getting the cameras prepared right now.
Please alert me if you are there. I would love to meet you "mate"

I have never met Johnny Hogg or knew of him, he must be from Interstate please give him my email, I would love to honour him in my website for his work and same goes for you and your usual crew friends in boxing.
Keep up your good work in Boxing.

Best wishes to all in BOXING.

Hi Anton,

Looking closely at Stadiums Ltd fight-cards, Australian Ring magazine and various newspaper write-ups about our fighting one another I have found a couple of places spelling his name as Rodgers.
I personally would rather believe the "Stadiums ltd. fight-cards" and their program clippings and local newspapers.

I noticed the Australian Ring magazine spelt it as Rodgers and they depended on Norm Foster as their connection - then not yet a promoter.
--------------
If I were asked to make a calculated guess I would choose Rogers as it is shown by our local bodies closest to where he had nearly all his fights.
--------------

I will try and make an effort as its a shame I did'nt asl Lionel Rose I was speaking to just a couple of days ago.

Cheers from Melbourne

Don't know about that. The same lot always spelled Glenn Grinsted's name incorrectly i.e. Grimstead, Grinstead. :P
