Not sure how this works, but no AJ at all? No Murat Gassiev at all?
I would rate Itauma a lot higher then most above him.
Rico at #2? You gotta be kidding me.

Gassiev was in recently I think. Or not at all.

AJ not in due to activity. We didn’t rate his Paul fight.
You think Kabayel/Dubois/Parker/Wardley would beat Rico?
I don't think so and I know that RIco and Kabayel have sparred actually.
Rico can still improve a lot tactically, but body wise I rate Rico higher in every aspect then them all.
I would love to see any of such fights on the undercard of Usyk-Kabayel.
Well we don’t know so we? Cus he’s never actually fought them. He hasn’t done anything to be ranked above any of those mentioned.

this could very well be a one off for him.

It’s fair to rank him yeh, not that high though.

And if he’s doesn’t take another fight in 12 months.. then he’s out.

remember when you had a good handful of people loving on ngannou, before joshua absolutelty marmalized him? we have seen combat sport atheletes from other sports come in and do surprisingly well several times now, only to do nothing afterward

1 good performance isnt enough for me to rate rico, especially considering he actually lost. and i say this as someone who has been vocal in justifying moving up guys for losses. i do the same for him, move him way up, but still not top 15

Yes, but we are rating someone's boxing skills here right?
If a fight never happens doesn't mean that Rico is worse then them, at least to me.
It's like saying to Muhammad Ali he's not allowed to defend his titles, so now he is no longer the best boxer (and they have actually done that, but that's a different story).
I rate Rico's skills higher then those of those others and I expect him to win against those others if a fight happens between them. Perhaps I should even rate him above Usyk actually.

I do somehow not expect such fights to happen since they can't win anything by beating Rico and they will lose a lot by losing against Rico and they themself probably also expect to lose against Rico, so simply won't accept.

Rico and Ngannou had two completely different boxing styles. Ngannou went for the KO from round one, Rico only focussed on the body for 11 rounds and probably only would have gone for the head in the last round if he expected to lose on points. Rico outworks his opponents, including Usyk, Ngannou couldn't do that in a boxing ring or at most for just a few rounds.

So unless these ranking is essentially just a boxing political game then I'll accept that, then that would explain a lot to me.
If this is a political game and not a skill rated one, then please ignore my posts about it.

It's primarily an achievement thing though the skills on display while achieving what you achieve is certainly a factor.

For instance if 2 guys win at about the same level, but 1 guy looks better and more skillful doing it. He's surely gonna get the benefit of a higher ranking.

Losing in game fashion can only do so much for you, but it was an impressive showing all the same. That's why I have him at #10 personally.

Is everyone currently voting Rico to 10 ahead of Itauma? It's wild for anyone to think that he has achieved more in the ring that Itauma, looked better doing it or even that he would beat Itauma if a fight was scheduled tomorrow.

I don’t think I have voted Rico in at all. But I would argue he has achieved more in the ring than itamu (definatly not that he would beat him)….

Being competitive with the undisputed champ is better than what Moses has done.

If I get in a bar fight with a pro rugby player and we go toe to toe, I break his nose and give him a couple black eyes but eventually he flogs me…. People are going to respect that achievement more than if I go 11-0 (11ko) vs my local under 8s soccer team….

Wait till moses beats a top 50 to start talking up his achievements… till then probably just talk about his tallent.

But you're voting on the combined top 15, not your own one

Well we don’t know so we? Cus he’s never actually fought them. He hasn’t done anything to be ranked above any of those mentioned.

this could very well be a one off for him.

It’s fair to rank him yeh, not that high though.

I think 881073 used to post under the name 'asdfjkl'

Do i include 881073's votes?

but conflicted after that you said.. Even Ngannou wasn't voted that high..
