To be honest, I don't watch a lot of boxing any more.

Just tuned in because this is on BBC.

Channel 5 still put some stuff on occasionally?
Well nice to see you back here.

Don't think 5 do much nowadays, unless the not very good Eubank needs wheeling out.
Nice if you to remember me though, mate. :OhYes:

I see The Snooker thread is thriving without me.

People don’t appreciate that it’s you and me that caused the rise in popularity of the word ‘discuss.’

After two rounds? The guy has to eat, he'd never get another fight of he did that.

Ridiculous fight. Clagget was fighting Guiseppe Lauri before Azim started wanking. Shocking matchmaking..

Good stuff from Azim, didn't mess about against a game opponent, Claggett landed some good shots, Azim was more telling, caught Claggett with a right uppercut then knocked him down with a right in the 2nd, still Claggett was a bit dangerous but Azim hurt him next round and was teeing off when ref jumped in, I did reckon it was 1 second too early but I'm nitpicking

I wouldn't complain about the stoppage, it was perfect for me.

I can't understand why this kid isn't being let off the leish. His team obviously know more than me but he looks special to me.

Hopefully he knows that Shalom is stalling what could be a stratospheric rise and he'll find a way to wriggle out of his contract with him and sign with Eddie or Frank, get on DAZN and get some big fights made

I think we all kinda knew it would go like that.
Some posters earlier in the week trying to say it was a good test.
It wasn't.
It never was going to be with a shopworn 36 year old SLW.
Azim is frittering away his prime....

Yes, he got pulled out.
How was he getting on Mick. It was a step up from central to English. Was he ever in the fight?

He's fighting on BBC2, surely that gets him a lot more viewers than DAZN

Undoubtedly but I wouldn’t have thought that was reflected in his purse

Not really. He's done amazingly well to get to that level, he should be very proud of himself.

It was a good fight in the end I thought. I nnamdi was quite tough I thought and I hope he gets some fights off the back of that showing. Uldedaj was good under pressure and was quite educated in getting out of trouble.

Champions league would have killed the tickets probably
Terrible scheduling clash again

I get that on the TV side they've gone "champions league as a lead in"

But that's a mistake. Major final games, people stay with the aftermath of the game, they don't just jump straight into some boxing show full of randoms.

Obviously boxxer trying to get the BBC to renew / offer a new deal, but having your main guy fight in an empty arena makes him look like shit and devalues him and the entire promotion.

Azim never a big ticket seller but I felt bad for him tonight coming back from that long layoff to an empty arena like that.
