It has been reported that Ray Lampkin, a lightweight contender during the 1970s, has passed away.

I think that Ray Lampkin was NABF Lightweight Champion at some point.

He was a very tough fighter. He gave my man Roberto Duran one of the toughest battles and it happened in Duran's hometown of Panama City.

He also lost to Esteban De Jesus twice.

From Portland, OR, he was very good.
