Unless he gets caught with a KO blow, Charles would always outbox Witherspoon.

I feel if Tim catches Ezzard, he's done for. But he would have to be at his best.

Ezzard Charles by decision if he doesn't get hit by a knockout punch by Tim Witherspoon.

Several versions of Terrible Tim would KO Charles in the first half of the bout, we're talking about one of the divisions great "What If's". We saw flashes of it, even when Witherspoon was carrying flab.

I feel like Tim gets a lot of credit for how good he'd Occasionally look against some styles. He'd struggle almost anytime he was in with a talented boxer with some movement and skill to their game.

Bad Witherspoon was around a lot more often than Good Witherspoon, and that's not a coincidence, and if you want to blame it on lack of discipline then that's a serious lack of discipline when you're not at your best at least half the time you fight.

Either Charles would take a decision or vice versa for Terrible Tim to take a decision himself as it would be tactical fight.
