Well the 400 lbs was certainly a factor, Callaway leaned on Carty, and Carty ruptured his ACL as a result, hence how that loss came about.margaret thatcher wrote: ↑05 Jun 2026, 17:03 carty looked decent but then he went and got stopped by 400 dujuan calloway

Carty is no World beater, but in normal circumstances he'd have made easy work of Callaway.

Carty suffered a horrific injury mid fight. That’s the type of injury that can do you forever so that’s definitely an anomaly. Not saying Carty is a world beater but you’re never carrying on with that injury mid fight.
Not a bad fight this one imo

Hearn more or less said Carty didn’t want to know as well.margaret thatcher wrote: ↑05 Jun 2026, 23:49

According to Dave, he is fighting on a few small hall shows at his own cost. I'm guessing this 3rd fight of his at Croke, again could be out of his own pocket.margaret thatcher wrote: ↑05 Jun 2026, 17:01 i thought you said he was gonna fight dan garber for the english, or was that just a suggestion

My prediction was Dan Garber for the English, at some point.

He wants to box on the Pat Brown v John Hedges card in Manchester in September. He said it's less money than he was offered for Dublin but he is happier boxing on that bill.MasterG wrote: ↑06 Jun 2026, 05:55According to Dave, he is fighting on a few small hall shows at his own cost. Croke was for decent money. Carty was the one who didn't agree.MasterG wrote: ↑06 Jun 2026, 05:55According to Dave, he is fighting on a few small hall shows at his own cost. No, I only saw what Hearn said. Maybe didn't fancy himself on the big stage.SeanBrennan wrote: ↑06 Jun 2026, 07:04Any idea why? Especially if it’s decent moneymickey1975 wrote: ↑06 Jun 2026, 06:42Croke was for decent money. Carty was the one who didn't agree.

You'd think most boxers would fancy that if they believe in themselves, especially for the cash and exposure even if they lose. A good fight for both. I wouldn't be surprised if Allen won.

Me neither I think it would be a good fight. Wonder if Carty is nervy due to the injury, ACL is one of the few things I’ve not snapped over the years but it must make you super nervous when your job involves you moving around on your knees I’d be worried it’ll go again.TheLeprechaun wrote: ↑06 Jun 2026, 09:31 A good fight for both.
