It's happening to white kids every day but nobody wants to talk about it.
Mobs of black/brown people hunting down white kids to beat up because of their skin colour? I wasn't aware of that, although, if no-one is talking about it then that's possibly why.
It's disgusting, vile, hate driven actions regardless of whatever the skin colour is of the attackers or victims.
I get there's a lot of pent up anger coming out because of the complete lack of action and tone deafness of those in charge. This street attack now appears to be the tipping point, people have had enough and are reacting in the only way they feel the message will get through. Innocent people shouldn't be getting targeted though just because some fked up nutjob has a similar shade of pigment to them.
Vulnerable young girls being hunted down and abused by Asian taxi drivers; white kids being bullied in school and teachers turning a blind eye because they're too scared to tackle those doing it; young lads getting jumped in parks and on the street; asylum seekers harassing girls and women. It's happening every day, even if nobody wants to speak about it.
Sorry, my brain was in specific 'mob hunt and beating' mode there. I get what you mean now
I'm just a bit more worried with how this is developing as my children are mixed race and there's an element out there who will just see a brown skinned teenager (13) and think it's open season, despite the fact he's Scottish, a really mild mannered, polite kid who attends church every Sunday with his mum and brothers.
There's already a 'Patriot' group in my home city, (made up of the usual group of people with previous convictions) out doing patrols. Fair enough, in that aspect they might well be helping in a way. However, there's also an underlying unsavoury side, like a sign with 'Death to all n*****' appearing outside a primary school and group members posting up racist remarks in social media. This can influence others, it spreads and it grows.
I always try to see an argument from both sides and understand the full resentment that's happening now. However, seeing innocent people burnt out of their homes and attacked on the street just because of their skin colour, it affects my emotions possibly more than others purely because of family, of which there is no greater feeling.
