Tyan Booth

Post by 2457825 »

He's not to everyone's taste but I used to really enjoy his YouTube content (apart from when he had his ex girlfriend on and spent hours bickering with her)

Apparently he's been evicted from his bedsit in Sheffield he's now back in his hometown of Nottingham and living in an H.M.O

First stream is depressing enough, but the second should have seen him sectioned.

He's clearly struggling with life.

I would very occasionally check his channel and thought he’d stopped posting, always forget the live streams are in a different section on the app. Although judging by the little I just watched, I won’t be tuning in to any future ones. Fallen on very hard times indeed.

He disappeared for a few months, until BKM tracked him down:

A lot a talk about getting back into training, producing regular content on his channel but after a few less than entertaining streams (the last one actually promising to go 'full time' with the channel) he seems to have lost motivation again.

Shame really he had a lot going for him, he had more ability than his boxing record would indicate, he's clearly very intelligent (University education I think) a very laconic/offbeat sense of humour and he had a genuine talent for video editing.

He had a couple of unlicensed fights a while back (1 - 1) he'd have been a perfect fit for Misfits if he'd stuck with that and he'd make a great pundit/interviewer (he worked for IFL years ago but he fell out with Kugan)

I didn’t mind his videos at first.

But I had to stop watching when he phoned an Escort and asked if she licked a**e.

He phoned another and you could hear her kid the background.

It may be drug induced if he's smoking loads of weed like he claims.
If admitted to hospital they would probably get him detoxed to a degree to see if his mental health improves.
But he doesn't sound ill enough to be sectioned

Very likely, he’s clearly struggling whatever it is. Seems a very bleak existence. Living in a HMO at 40. Admittedly of his own making.

It had the feel of a supported accommodation HMO, I mean apart from the pee in bottles his room was tidy and kitchen looked decent condition.
Might be charity or local authority run with support.

Had a look at the Nottingham listings on Spareroom and found this:

Yeah so basically they want people on full benefits, as the owners can then provide 'supported' accommodation, this means the can get an extra 25-30% on the housing benefit. So say the local housing allowance for housing benefit is £100 a week , they can get £125-130 a week. And lots of grants to improve and upkeep the property.
Plus extra paid for charges for the support, which depending on the service might just be a once a week drop in to see each person, or 24/7 access to staff.
They can be really well run, or a company cashing in on all the extras.
This one looks tidy, which usually means support is good.

Spot on re supported housing. Usually the decent ones are Registered Providers with the RSH

Do you ever see Paul Ingle kicking about in Scarborough? I saw him years ago in the Brunswick Centre bottom of escalator having a coffee.

I sent all my framed signed photos of Paul back to the gym in Hull to be in their rightful place in the gym.

He was at the Scarborough ABC show at the cricket ground at the end of May giving out trophies. His brother is the coach there.

It's not so much sympathy, just people don't live perfect lives and my background is in this type of person.
I'm as judgemental as the next person just to say as well, but also a bit of live and let live.

I bought a few photos that the Daily Mirror took of the 1999 ibf fight. Paul had signed them. They were in the Scarborough Evening News office in the town. I had them on the stairs wall for years with all my other signed photos. I sold on all the others but couldn't part with the Ingle ones, and I didn't have a grandson at the time.

Incidentally my son works with Tony Bellews brother in law, and my lad got a pair of boxing gloves today from Sports Direct for Tony to sign for the grandsons birthday present. Tony Bellews son is under 18 goalie for Everton too.

I've lived here 14 months now and despite everyone knowing him and being told he's often seen out and about I've bumped into him twice.

On both occasions he was accompanied by his mother, he seemed genuinely pleased to be recognised, but very self conscious about his weight.

The first time we discussed the Junior Jones fight (an underrated classic in my opinion) the second I apologised to his mother for somewhat excluding her the first time we met (she replied it wasn't necessary)

He mentioned lacking motivation and energy I told him I also have an Acquired Brain Injury due to a stroke in 2024 and all i seem to do is sleep and eat these days, he replied 'that sounds familiar' ( his mother confirmed this) and we discussed our mutual love of pork pies.

I was eating a cheese Ploughman's baguette at the time, he noticed the salad in this and he joked 'at least you eat green stuff which I don't'
with that he shook my hand very gently and we parted.

It was good to see him but on both occasions I came away with an immense feeling of sadness, I know how I've struggled for the last 18 months and my A.B.I is nothing like as severe as his.
Sorry to hear about your stroke lad. Hope you are battling through.

Which part of Scarborough are you living, South or North bay?

Scarborough bit of a shit hole these days, main street is appalling. Hopefully they will get the old Brunswick centre sorted into a cinema at some point and put a bit of life back into the place.

I've only really hung around the police station in recent years, tend not to go to Scarborough for shops, unless it's garden centres.
