Frank~Warren comfortable with Tyson Fury arrangement, but Netflix might hold promoter's cards
Frank~Warren has said neither he nor Matchroom can promote the heavyweight fight between Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua, if it happens on Netflix.
Warren was speaking to talkSPORT, where he was questioned about his working relationship with Fury and the fight itself.
“Tyson hasn’t signed for anybody. At the moment in time, where we are now, I have my arrangement which I’m very, very comfortable with and we have a business relationship that has worked really well and continues to work really well,” Warren said of being with Fury. “I have no problems whatsoever.”
Fury, of course, appeared at the UFC White House event last weekend and said announcements about his future were imminent. He then subsequently posted on social media that Turki Alalshkih would be his promoter until he ended his career.
Warren said he had not been surprised to see Fury in the USA and said he was pleased to see Fury there, meaning he has a visa to enter the US.
“Life goes on as normal,” added Warren, who was then asked where the heavyweight fight would take place.
“The last few fights that [Turki Alalshkikh]’s where the money’s come from to promote the shows. Nothing’s changed.”
When pressed on a possible location, with the US seemingly a possible spot, Warren added: “Don’t know yet. It’s not been decided yet.”
Of the broadcast situation, Warren said: “We have an exclusive contract with DAZN for our UK fights. That’s where we are. We have an exclusive with them. As far as Tyson’s fight with Joshua, that will be on Netflix. That’s the position, so if the fight was in the UK and on Netflix, we couldn’t promote it anyway. Eddie Hearn’s in the same position.”
Warren said he was confident that another heavyweight bout, the rematch between WBO champion Daniel Dubois and Fabio Wardley, would take place later this year but, reverting back to Joshua-Fury and asked whether it should take place in the UK, Warren said: “It’s where it should be, they’re two Brits.”

That's why Dana wants it in the US then. Down to Fury and Joshua to show whether the fans matter to them as the millions difference will be fairly negligible all things considered.

Re: Tyson Fury vs. Anthony Joshua | NETFLIX - Winter 2026
Tyson Fury is clearly engineering ways to get out of this fight vs. Anthony Joshua again 'Fury has never wanted to fight Joshua, and the only time he has piped up about facing him? Is when Joshua has been experiencing vulnerable times'.
Note: Anthony Joshua stylistically is Tyson Fury's toughest fight 'in the entire heavyweight divisions. Joshua is a super heavyweight fighter, with proven elite level power and boxing skills. No other Heavyweight in the divisions has that combination of attributes or skills to a high level'.
The challenge for Anthony Joshua has always been executing his best performance 'and when he does? You have all seen what happens, all the common opponents him and Tyson Fury have shared? Anthony Joshua has either beaten them more conclusively, impressively or produced a better effort and that is a fact'.
Anthony Joshua knocked out Wladimir Kiltschko, Francis Ngannou, and he forced a stoppage vs. Otto Wallin 'and during the 24 rounds he competed against Oleksandr Uysk? From a pure statistical perspective he performed better'.
I will not be surprised in the slightest if the fight between Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua 'does not happen. And the main contributing factor for this will be Tyson Fury' etc.

If the fight lands outside of the UK, really the fault should be all on both Queensbury and Eddie Hearn 'in reality? This fight should not need any outside investment or involvement'.
Note: I personally don't really care that much where the fight will be 'but? I understand that there will be many British boxing fans that do care, because the location will potentially decrease their excess to the fight. Make the occasion a more difficult sporting event to attend live'.
Queensbury and Eddie Hearn 'need to start doing things for themselves in boxing. Especially when it comes to trademark fights like this, surely? They would have wanted such a historically fight, to be on their resumes as a fight which they promoted etc.

Eddie Hearn: Anthony Joshua will topple Tyson Fury in epic British heavyweight clash - 'I've never been more confident!'
Promoter Eddie Hearn insists he has "never been more confident" Anthony Joshua will emerge triumphant from his British heavyweight battle with Tyson Fury.
Joshua and Fury are expected to finally share the ring this year, although a location and date for the blockbuster bout are yet to be finalised.
Two-time world champion Joshua has been training alongside former opponent Oleksandr Usyk ahead of a comeback bout against Kristian Prenga on July 25 and Hearn believes his fighter will be well prepared to topple Fury.
"Fury's a tremendous fighter, very clever. I've just always felt that AJ beats Tyson Fury," Hearn told Sky Sports.
"And now, with his training camp with Usyk and the way he just seems and how focused he is, I just think that I've never been more confident that he wins the fight.
"But it's not going to be easy because Fury's a great competitor and a great fighter."
Fury has also indicated he will take a warm-up fight before facing Joshua, but is yet to announce an opponent or a date.
Hearn has previously admitted if either fighter loses beforehand then plans for Fury vs Joshua will be ruined.
"Unfortunately, Tyson Fury's used to earning a lot of money and perhaps the purse that has been suggested is not one that he's very happy about," said Hearn.
"But really, no one really wants the fight for him. Do you know what I mean? So you've got to kind of decide the money is what it is.
"Do you want to do it or do you not want to do it now? He wants to be in training camp. He wants to be active. And I understand all that, but it's not really our business.
"They're going to do what they want to do. And we're going to just focus on July 25."

Dana White doubles down on Joshua-Fury claims and says Oleksandr Usyk to Zuffa is 'possible'
Dana White has not ruled out staging a heavyweight showdown between Oleksandr Usyk and Deontay Wilder on his Zuffa Boxing platform. Nor has he stood down on his claims that he knows exactly where a fight between Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury will take place should the heavyweight rivals get as far as sharing a ring.
Eddie Hearn, on the request of Turki Alalshikh, had said he will this week head to a ‘summit’ where White and the Saudi Arabian financier will be present to resolve the growing divide between Matchroom and Zuffa.
The British promoter last week also claimed that White had his ‘bum smacked’ by Alalshikh for publicly claiming to know all the details about the Joshua-Fury showdown. On Sunday night, however, White insisted he wasn’t concerned about Hearn – or any promotional rival.
“I don’t know what our issues would be, I’m good,” he said. “Listen, if Eddie was here, I’d talk to Eddie. I don’t have any problems. I told you guys, a couple of times now… we are not the same, none of the other guys matter to me.”
On the all-British heavyweight showdown he added: “Let's see what Turki says at the summit... I have all the info... Like I told you guys back in Bournemouth [on June 8], I know where it is and never did I say it was in Las Vegas.”
Rumors have been swirling since Friday, after Usyk relinquished his IBF, WBC and WBA heavyweight titles to focus on a ‘last dance’, that the Ukrainian might be eyeing up a switch to Zuffa for his final fight. Hearn and others had claimed it will come against veteran Wilder.
“Anything can happen,” White said twice with a smile when asked if Usyk-Wilder is heading to Zuffa.

The drama surrounding the venue for Fury v Joshua is ongoing I see.
Looks like they're testing the waters on opinions which is why they're leaning USA.
Or are they![[icon_wink.gif] ;-)](./images/smilies/icon_e_wink.gif)

F*ck that sh!t. If the americans wanna watch it, they can do that during the daytime.
You wanna put AJ/Fury in england in the middle of the night?
Would be a fcking disgrace.

The AJ-Fury bout could have been made after Tyson’s comeback from mental health (because despite ‘The Gypsy King’ calling out Anthony Joshua on multiple occasions, Eddie Hearn openly admits that he refused to promote Tyson due to being massively overweight... a decision he says he deeply regrets).PRINCEKOOL wrote: ↑03 Jun 2026, 15:55 Attempting to beat Anthony Joshua is a more stylistically difficult fight for Tyson Fury, than Oleksandr Uysk 'there is a reason why many years ago? Instead, Tyson signed for Fwank Warren (to secure a path to the Wilder bout). Back then, Queensbury and Matchroom didn’t stage co-promotional events, due to being on rival networks.
When Tyson Fury first faced Deontay Wilder, the American was rated above AJ, due to Joshua’s upset loss against Andy Ruiz Jr.
In 2024, Fury called-out AJ again, but Joshua’s handler’s declined because they were committed to fighting Otto Wallin and then Francis Ngannou.

It’s fair to say that since September 2018, the quality of Tyson Fury’s opposition is superior than AJ’s:
• Deontay Wilder (x3) — elite, undefeated WBC champion
• Otto Wallin — undefeated contender
• Dillian Whyte — top 5 ranked
• Derek Chisora — top 10 ranked
• Francis Ngannou — crossover mega-fight
• Oleksandr Usyk — unified champion (twice - losses)
• Arslanbek Makhmudov — dangerous undefeated puncher
Here are Joshua’s opponents over the same timeframe:
• Andy Ruiz Jr (lost once)
• Kubrat Pulev
• Oleksandr Usyk (lost twice)
• Jermaine Franklin
• Robert Helenius
• Otto Wallin
• Francis Ngannou
• Daniel Dubois (lost and refused to activate the rematch clause)
• Jake Paul
‘The Gypsy King’ has been the proverbial A-side over Joshua since mid-2018. And there is compelling evidence that Fury wants the fight more than AJ does.

Anthony Joshua-Tyson Fury venue: Wembley Stadium can host on one condition, says Turki Alalshikh
The Anthony Joshua-Tyson Fury saga continues with Turki Alalshikh confirming his desire for London, England's Wembley Stadium to host the long overdue heavyweight battle later this year.
It may be coming five years too late, but Joshua and Fury have finally signed on the dotted line to face each other after a decade of it being the best fight to make in Britain. Both must win warm-up bouts first; Fury faces Mariusz Wach on July 24 in Pattaya, Thailand, while Joshua takes on Kristian Prenga the following day in Saudi Arabia. Should both defeat their overmatched foes as expected, they should finally meet in November.
There has been debate over whether the biggest fight in British boxing history, involving two Britons, will actually take place in the UK. There have been reports that the fight could land stateside, where it would undoubtedly pick up a higher gate.
This has been met with backlash from British fight fans, which prompted Alalshkih – the man funding the bout – last week to announce that a location had not been decided yet.
Alalshikh has now shed further light on why Wembley Stadium may not be a suitable venue to host the British mega fight. The home of the English national soccer team has a curfew of 10:30 pm, with that being extended to 11 for special circumstances. Alalshikh told reporters he would need Wembley to extend its opening hours to accommodate the US television audience.
"We have also [Anthony] Joshua and Tyson Fury this year. We don't choose the place until now,” said Alalshikh. “It depends on if England gives us all what we need. We want the fight here in England but we want the time zone of all the world, especially in America. If they allow us to have Wembley late in the night, we want to do it in England."

Fury v Joshua could be held overnight at Wembley
The proposed heavyweight fight between Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua could be held at Wembley Stadium in the early hours of the morning, BBC Sport understands.
Saudi powerbroker Turki Alalshikh, who is coordinating the all-British bout, said on Monday he wants the fight staged in England while also accommodating a global television audience.
If the contest - mooted for October or November this year - is timed to suit prime-time viewers in the USA, the main event might have to start as late as 04:00 GMT.
Sources close to London mayor Sir Sadiq Khan have told BBC Sport such a proposal is "doable", but Alalshikh and other stakeholders involved in staging the fight have not yet been in contact.
Wembley Stadium usually has a curfew of 11pm. Once a formal request is made, the mayor would need to agree with Brent Council - the local authority - whether dispensation can be granted to stage the fight.
"Any changes to [the curfew] would have to be assessed by the stadium's safety advisory group of which Brent Council is a partner," the council told BBC Sport.
BBC Sport has contacted representatives of Alalshikh for comment.
"I tell you from the beginning, it depends if England give us all that we need," Alalshikh said on Monday.
"We want the fight here in England, but we want the time zone of all the world, especially in America.
"If they allow us to have Wembley late in the night, we want to do it in England. It is about the time and viewership.
"We will talk with the mayors and Prince Abdullah [bin Khaled bin Sultan]."
It would not be the first combat sports event in Britain to be scheduled around the American television market.
Ricky Hatton's fight against Kostya Tszyu in June 2005 at Manchester Arena began at 02:00 to cater for American audiences, as did Joe Calzaghe's bout against Jeff Lacy in March 2006 at the same venue.
When UFC 304 was held in Manchester in July 2024, the main card did not begin until 01:00 BST.
Last month, Matchroom promoter Eddie Hearn, who represents Joshua, dismissed speculation the fight could be staged in the US. Hearn said the current agreement, signed by all parties, states the bout must take place in the United Kingdom.
Fury and Joshua are both set to return to the ring later this month before a potential meeting later in the year.
Former WBC heavyweight champion Fury, 37, will face Poland's Mariusz Wach in Thailand on 24 July, while two-time world heavyweight champion Joshua, 36, takes on Kristian Prenga in Saudi Arabia the following day.

Tyson Fury has always been apprehensive of Joshua 'in my opinion 'it is stylistically his most difficult fight to win of this Heavyweight era'.
When and if Tyson Fury fights Anthony Joshua 'Fury will be knocked out for the first time in his career' etc.
Re: Tyson Fury vs. Anthony Joshua | NETFLIX - Winter 2026
In early 2021, Fury and Joshua had actually signed a contract to fight for the undisputed championship in Saudi Arabia. However, Wilder's team took the matter to an independent judge. The arbitrator ruled that Fury was legally obliged to honor his third-fight contract with Wilder first. Walking away would have cost Fury tens of millions of dollars in legal damages, forcing the Fury-Joshua plans to be scrapped.PRINCEKOOL wrote: ↑08 Jul 2026, 15:02 It is common knowledge that both Tyson Fury and Deontay Wilder 'both chose to fight each other instead of Joshua. Re: Tyson Fury vs. Anthony Joshua | NETFLIX - Winter 2026
As a one-time Fury fan, I have to say that there is quite a bit wrong with this post.
When the first fight happened, it was the year preceding the Ruiz fight and Joshua was still the number 1 - Actually, after Wilder v Fury 1, Joshua's team offered a fair split to fight either Wilder or Fury at Wembley, they both declined. Joshua's team cancelled the Wembley date and booked MSG for the summer instead - which is when he lost to Ruiz Jr.
Fury was already tied into a two-fight deal with Usyk from September 2023. His fights with Usyk took up the entirety of Fury's schedule in 2024. So, this makes little sense... but Fury does like to get his name in tomorrow's chip shop wrappingIn 2024, Fury called-out AJ again, but Joshua’s handler’s declined because they were committed to fighting Otto Wallin and then Francis Ngannou.
He was far from being what many consider a legitimate title contender at the time, his biggest win being to establish himself over Granat in Sweden. Possibly could argue he was a fringe contender (maybe a top 30 guy). But at the time, he was seen more as a safe warm-up opponent ahead of Wilder v Fury 2.• Otto Wallin — undefeated contender
By who? Not even the WBC went that far, and they gifted Chisora a top 15 ranking so Fury could make the voluntary defence. A few months prior Chisora wasn't even in their top 15.• Derek Chisora — top 10 ranked
He'd already been comfortably beaten by Kabayel and was back to fighting at a lower level. The mystique was already gone• Arslanbek Makhmudov — dangerous undefeated puncher

Turki Alalshikh suggests a 2am ringwalk for the anticipated Tyson Fury vs Anthony Joshua fight to align with his vision to cater to the American audience and network subscribers.
The current curfew at the desired location, Wembley Stadium, is 11pm local time.

Fury vs Joshua location: Ring walk times are major hold-up for fight to take place at Wembley
Turki Alalshikh is seeking a curfew ban lift in London for Fury vs Joshua
Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua are tentatively slated to fight late this year, provided the two win their July tune-ups as it’s expected they will.
But location has become the major concern. The iconic Wembley Stadium in London is the hoped-for and most actually logical venue for the fight, but organizers will need Wembley’s 11 pm curfew to be lifted in order to actually land the bout, as a suitable main event start time is the main concern for money man Turki Alalshikh.
Sky Sports has more specifics on exactly what that issue comes down to, reporting that the 11 pm curfew for the venue would need to be lifted for the event, as a 1 am local time is desired for the main event ring walks.
For those wondering, that translates to an 8 pm Eastern / 5 pm Pacific start time for the main event in the United States. This is important because while the live event absolutely makes the most sense — and really only true sense — being in the United Kingdom, this is obviously a major, worldwide fight for streaming televised purposes, and you want the most viewers possible, whether the fight airs on DAZN or Netflix or whatever else.
London Mayor Sadiq Khan has said he supports the fight being held in London, but Alalshikh says he’s been told that later start time is “not possible,” with further talks to be held in the hopes of convincing Khan to lift the curfew for the evening.
If the fight is a no-go in London, there has been talk of it taking place in the United States, which could be interesting, because you’d still want a decent start time for the big United Kingdom crowd that will be tuning in, which could still equate to an 8 pm ET start time in the States, which would be unusual for a big event on American soil, where main events for major shows like this often don’t start until Midnight ET or sometimes a bit later.
An unignorable potential compromise would be for the fight to be held in Saudi Arabia, where Alalshikh will have permission to start the fight whenever he wants to make the most people happy with the televised start time.
In the meantime, Joshua is set to face Kristian Prenga on July 25 in Saudi Arabia, while Fury will fight on July 24 in Thailand against Mariusz Wach.

Tyson Fury vs Anthony Joshua: Fight must start at 2am if Wembley Stadium is to host British heavyweight blockbuster
Organisers of a fight between Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua want it to start no earlier than 2am if it is to take place at London's Wembley Stadium; it remains unclear whether Mayor of London, Sir Sadiq Khan, and other local authorities will approve an extension to the usual 11pm curfew
The blockbuster heavyweight clash between Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua would need to take place at 2am if it is to be held at Wembley Stadium.
Turki Alalshikh, who is organising the all-British bout, said on Monday that he wants the fight to take place at a time that works for a global audience, and intends to hold talks with the Mayor of London, Sir Sadiq Khan, in a bid to obtain permission to host a late-night fight in the capital.
Khan responded to Alalshikh's comments by saying he "supported ambitions" to hold the fight in London, before Alalshikh posted on social media that he had so far been told a later start time was "not possible".
----------------
Is a 2am start for AJ vs Fury at Wembley realistic?
- Wembley's most recent fight - Usyk vs Dubois - saw the first bell rung at 10.20pm (July 2025).
- For Joshua vs Dubois at Wembley, the first bell rang at 10.10pm (Sep 2024) - 96,000 attended.
- The latest a fight at Wembley has started was Fury vs Whyte (April 2022) when the first bell was at 10.50pm.
- Fury vs Chisora III was held during the winter months at Tottenham in December 2022, and the first bell was at 9.30pm.
- Weekday concerts at Wembley have a 10.30pm curfew, while weekend concerts can sometimes be permitted to run until 10.45pm or 11pm depending on the event and the local authority's licence.
- Harry Styles' recent record 12-concert residency at Wembley had a 10.30pm curfew.
- The average temperature in London at 1am in November is six degrees.
- The Jubilee line operates a Night Tube service, with trains running every 10-15 minutes. The Metropolitan Line's last trains leave shortly after midnight.
----------------
Meanwhile Brent Council, the local authority that would be involved in granting approval, has said an extension to Wembley's current 11pm curfew would need to be assessed by the stadium's safety advisory group, which the council is part of.
Following that exchange of statements, Sky Sports News learned on Wednesday that ringwalks for the main event would need to start at 2am if it is to be staged at the iconic venue.
Alalshikh wants the bout to be accessible to a US television audience, and a 2am UK start would translate to 9pm ET and 6pm PT in the States.
No date has yet been set for the fight, but it is expected to take place in November.
Both former world champions are competing in warm-up fights later in July, with a surprise defeat or injury for either appearing to be the only potential obstacles to their meeting going ahead.
Fury faces Mariusz Wach in Thailand on July 24, while Joshua is taking on Kristian Prenga a day later in Saudi Arabia.
Speaking at an event in London, Alalshikh said: "I tell you from the beginning, it depends if England give us all that we need, we want the fight here in England.
"But we want the time zone of all the world, especially in America. If they allowed us to have Wembley late in the night, we want to do it in England. It is about the time and viewership.
"We will talk with the mayors and (Saudi ambassador) Prince Abdullah (bin Khaled bin Sultan)."
Khan did not comment on whether the fight could be moved to later in the evening to accommodate an international audience.
"London is the sporting capital of the world, and the Mayor is working to bring more of the world's biggest events to the city," a spokesperson for the Mayor of London said on Tuesday.
"London has staged some of the biggest boxing events in recent history at Wembley Stadium, with record crowds of over 90,000 attending heavyweight contests including Anthony Joshua vs Daniel Dubois and Tyson Fury vs Dillian Whyte.
"Sadiq has made clear that London would be the perfect place to stage the long-awaited bout between Anthony Joshua vs Tyson Fury and the Mayor stands ready to support ambitions to bring the event to our capital as we build a better London for everyone."
But after the statement had been published, Alalshikh took to social media to write: "Hopefully a positive statement from the Mayor of London's office about a later start time if Fury v Joshua is in London, as so far we have been told it is not possible."

I'm just gonna watch the fight the day after.
No respect towards the fans or the fighters. Trash.

At a certain point why not go the other way with it?
Say a 4pm ring walk for the main event. World wide television audiences are accommodated and the British fans aren't put out. Plus the Brits are hardly going to say no to a night out in London post-fight. Though maybe that presents different problems.
