John Conteh vs Victor Galindez

I just watched a new video episode last night, from Rich the Fight Historian, featuring former LHW(175 lb) champion boxer, John Conteh.
Very unfortunate about how Conteh's life and boxing career spiralled downhill, especially after he was in a near fatal vehicle accident, while still in the prime of his boxing carear.
He was So Good, until the serious hand problems.

Really could only rely on his left jab and left hook after awhile, which reduced his fighting/boxing capacities by such an obviously dramatic amount.
A really unfortunate thing that he never got to take on Galindez, in what would've been an Amazing Bout.
I seriously recommend watching the recent and very noteworthy documentary video from Rich the Fight Historian though.
But anyway, this specific hypothetical, naturally became Standard Fare, immediately, upon going onto this site today.

My personal take on this bout, if we're in the discussion of a Properly equipped version of Conteh, is that, he'd likely win versus Viscious Victor, in a Truly Epic Mauling Brawling Light heavyweight Scrap, of monumental proportions.
Even though Galindez was Tko'd by Rossman in 1978 and then Ko'd by Marvin Johnson in 1979, I think that the 1974-1977 version of Galindez was basically too resilient to get Ko'd or even Tko'd.

I see this bout going the distance, and Conteh winning by way of his work-rate being slightly above The work rate of Galindez.
So basically, I see a 9-6 or maybe an 8-6-1, or even closer than that, type of decision win for Conteh, in what would've likely been a fight of the year candidate for 1974-1977(The time frame when this bout was most plausible).

Could see that happening, but could also see Victor pulling out a tough one over John. Definitely no kayoes.
