Yeah, but don't you listen Roy? Fartage is allowed to get bungs of £millions and be corrupt, it's expected of him, so nothing to see here.

I know, it was only a cheeky £5mil, not as though it was serious gear like sunglasses or Taylor Swift ticket's or something of that magnitude.

Hoping Burnham calls a GE and finishes them off once and for all, which he should do if he calls it early enough. :TU:

If reform had a bad night, and won 75 MPs, would that be them finished off?
What about if Burnham doesn't do particularly well in government?

Yup strike whilst the Iron is hot :box: opinion is changing one of my relatives (not blood!) Has finally began to question Farridges motives due to the bribe we know about, hopefully more of them wise up and Rupert Lowe keeps up the good work too. :salut:

If Reform couldn't win Makerfield, they're not getting 75 MP's. Falange is looking for power, so even if he got 75 MP's - he would think he has failed. Where are these 75 MP's coming from anyway?

Burnham has showed that Reform can be beat but Reforms share is significant, they will do better than the Tories or Libs.
Or is it going to be another Labour landslide?
Burnham will have 2 years now to build those houses, fund the NHS. cut the cost of living, make convincing, popular decisions over welfare or defence spending, probably needs to stop the boats too, He will be judged on his actions rather than promises.

The voters had a special reason to vote Labour in Makerfield - a win for Labour would mean Starmer would go. They were kingmakers and revelled in the fact.
I think it was a unique by-election in that way. It is not a good indication on how the rest of the country feels. Labour did abysmally in the other two by-elections that day, coming fourth.

I think that's right. Personalities play a part in politics and, in this case, I think the Burnham factor really swung it. Plus, Reform picked an absolute cretin as their candidate. Had Reform put up somebody sensible and Labour fielded their usual silly little girl from the charity sector I suspect Reform would have won.

Either way, that's now two successive defeats in potential winnable seats for Reform and I wouldn't be surprised if they end up with a lot of seconds come the next general election. All those hand-wringing liberal lefties who keep saying we need PR should be thankful we've still got first past the post. Otherwise it could look quite different.

First past the post is shit and always has been. The party in power never wants to get rid of FPTP until they find themselves in the political wilderness for many years but the second they get back in power they then have a complete reverse on that position. FPTP is the most undemocratic of the voting systems in a democracy.

I am from there, it's a massive reform area or so it seemed, when you saw the lib dems who lost their deposit and even the tory vote - I don't think they got even a thousand votes - it seemed everyone who would usually vote for these parties held their nose and voted for Burnham - but whose to say that won't happen in other places when it comes to a General Election? Farage becoming PM is something real and damaging at stake. As for the other two by elections, they were both held by the ruling party.

Fair enough apart from the result in one of the by-elections: the Tories won an SNP seat in Aberdeen.

Even his fluffers are asking about the £5m, personally i couldn't give a rats arse what he spends it on, what's more important was why he was given it.

They need to ask him in every interview for ever more, no let up, don't get bored, it'll get through to more and more of the simpletons that follow him. Then he can jog on to Moscow or the states and grift out there and stay away from us, fcuking traitor. :yay:

If reforms popularity plummets Farage won’t stick around. He’s here for himself and that’s it.

People take the piss out of Tommy Robinson and say he’s a grifter like Farage but Tommy Robinson started off the EDL off the back of his views and experiences with Islam. Think of him what you want but he’s one of the few who hasn’t changed his views to better himself. If anything he has put himself in bad situations from having his view. Il stick with Tommy 10 names over Farage any day of the week.

Nobody really cares about it, other than the loons against him. Farage got it before he became an MP, he gets a fee for presenting a GB News show also, who cares. It's not like it's the big Liebour cover-up about their MP Nick Brown...

He got it for becoming an MP, lot's of people care about it, don't let Nidge and GB news tell you that, he could be banned from ever being an MP. Either way it's the end of him ever becoming PM, which is fantastic news.
