Read the New York Times and Wall Street Journal. They hold every administration accountable more than any other media in the US and have been sued by Trump countless times. Everybody knows that there's no 350ft slit, yet he gets to stand there and say it over and over again. Why can't someone just call him a fucking liar to his fat stupid face? Why the hell is everybody so afraid of him? Even Republicans who have lost their seat can't stand up to him, and how about journalists? Afraid to loose access to his propaganda show? What's the point of having access if you're not asking real questions anyway? "Do you have any evidence of people cutting the reflecting pool" is the wrong question. The correct question is "I've seen the reflecting pool with my own fucking eyes and there is no 350ft slit, why are you lying?".

LOL. Trump will no doubt proclaim that hundreds of thousands of people attended. Probably more people showed up for the UFC event on the lawn of the White House then did for this 250 state fair party.

The written press, sure, but quite few people read the New York Times or the WSJ. It needs to be live and to his face.giacomino wrote: ↑30 Jun 2026, 07:20Read the New York Times and Wall Street Journal. They have a combined circulation of something like 18 million and are widely read in print and online, particularly by the people who make decisions in the country. The Times has had a huge jump in circulation since 2017 specifically because it was willing to hold Trump’s feet to the fire. CNN often just regurgitates Times, Wall Street Journal and Washington Post reporting and, as in the case of Fox News, is heavily performance art masquerading as original journalism. Most legitimate reporters don’t get a chance to confront Trump “live” because he has limited access to legitimate reporters and instead performs in front of right-wing podcasters and bloggershhaehre wrote: ↑30 Jun 2026, 11:11The written press, sure, but quite few people read the New York Times or the WSJ. Re: The Turd In Chief Is At It Again!
It is confirmed that Trump is the kiss of death to sporting teams:
The World Cup Backlash:
The most prominent recent example occurred on July 6, 2026, when the US Men's National Soccer Team suffered a crushing 4-1 elimination against Belgium at the World Cup in Seattle. The controversy—and subsequent "curse" accusations—stemmed from Trump's direct intervention. After star striker Folarin Balogun received a red card and suspension, Trump admitted to calling FIFA President Gianni Infantino to have the suspension overturned. Once the ban was lifted, fans claimed the political meddling jinxed the squad and gave Belgium added motivation. Following the match, Belgian players mocked the President on the pitch by doing the "Trump Dance".
Recent Sports Failures - Fans point to several other high-profile instances of this jinx:
2026 NBA Finals: Trump attended Game 3 of the Finals at Madison Square Garden. The New York Knicks entered the game riding a historic 13-game playoff winning streak, but suffered their only loss of the series to the San Antonio Spurs in the exact game he attended.
2025 Ryder Cup: Trump attended the first day of competition at Bethpage Black. Despite his vocal assurances that Team USA would "get it done," the Americans fell behind and ultimately lost the tournament to Team Europe.
Washington Commanders: In November 2025, Trump became the first sitting president to attend a regular-season NFL game at Northwest Stadium. The Washington Commanders were blown out 44-22 by the Detroit Lions, and the Lions proceeded to collapse for the rest of their season

Nicki Minaj sounds a lot like Kelly Loeffler - his appointee - so his mistake is understandable. Can’t imagine the shit Biden or Bush would have gotten in the media for effing up the name of a cabinet official that badly

The sad truth is that there will still people looking back fondly on him decades from now. Such is the nature of the personality cult. 20 years ago my parents visited Sicily and met people who were still Mussolini fans. Same shit, different country.

You can hear the same thing in Portugal about Salazar from the older people who lived through his regime. My dad hated Salazar. It was a regime that kept the population poor and dumb for far too long and as a result Portugal was a backwards country for far longer than it should have been. Some people forget about all the bad times they lived through and only remember the good things, reminiscing about the golden days when it was actually shit. Rose tinted glasses and all that.jujigatame wrote: ↑08 Jul 2026, 21:59 The sad truth is that there will still people looking back fondly on him decades from now.
