Jim Braddock vs. Scott LeDoux

Post by scorpio83 »

15 Rounds Heavyweight Bout

The Cinderella Man would outbox the Fighting Frenchman behind his quick left jabs, right hands and combinations on the outside to take a decision. What do you guys think and who do you got?

I'd pick Braddock as well, by a fairly clear cut decision.

Only The prime peak form version of Braddock though.

His pro boxing career was overall, rather mysterious.

When he reached his full potential/prime, it had a very brief shelf-life, due to him developing chronic arthritis.

Personally I regard his win in his final bout over "Tommy Farr" as a slightly better win than the upset win over Max Baer, because of the specific stylistic aspects involved, not to mention his arthritic elbows being basically almost completely shot to shreds by that point in time.
His premature arthritis was obviously caused by him having to work a 9-5 very hard labor job on the side, while still during his often times tumultuous pro boxing carear.

Competitive scrap, but I'd have to give the edge to Braddock here. I'd lean toward a decision as well, but this is one of the few bouts with a Former Champ where LeDoux would be the harder hitter, and stronger man.
