Actually, this is an interesting match-up.

Crawford never really encountered such a style.

Wright was a pretty big, tall southpaw for these weights (154 and 160). With a famous tight high guard.

The complexity of the task for Terence here would be that he won't have a lot to capitalize on in terms of countering and punishing his opponent's mistake.

And at the same time, I don't see Crawford going out there and throwing punches in bunches the way Williams or Taylor were doing against Wright. He's just not operating in such a way. He'd have to wisely pick holes to try to unlock Wright's block.

Meanwhile, I see Wright's jab and countering giving Crawford fits. Wright would've been founding him with his jab and straight left.

It's easy to pick Terence. But Wright would've been a fascinating puzzle to solve.

Good points, but Wright have literaly no offensive tool to give Crawford troubles. Crawford would win this simply with basic boxing. Wright would not be hurt or look bad IMO. He will held his own, but would be outboxed for the whole fight. Wright - Spence would be more interesting fight

Maybe.

But Crawford can get hit. I can see Wright's jab and straight left landing on Bud and bothering from time to time.

All that being said, I think your overall prediction is correct.

Keep in mind that Crawford only had 1 bout in his whole career at 154, and it was arguably the most difficult night for him in his career, and the opponent wasn't as highly regarded as Wright.

Indeed.

It's possible, though, that Madrimov's footwork and constant feints could've thrown Crawford off more than Winky's more upright style would.

But like I said above, Winky was really big for that weight. He was quite accurate. Had a decent workrate. And even if he was more flat-footed, as oppose to Madrimov, he had that tight defense.

Again, as masterful as Crawford is, I don't really recall him facing so called defensive wizards. Canelo is the closest thing that comes to mind. But he's probably past it and fighting mostly in short bursts these days.
