Re: Eddie Hearn
Eddie's a great promoter, no question, perhaps the best in the world at the actual promotion side. More than perhaps any other promoter, he matches his top fighters strong, which purely from a selfish point of view is great.
Currently, I think Matchroom need a heavyweight. AJ's a few fights away retirement, Hrgovic lost and Johnny Fisher is limited. Justin Huni is interesting, but I don't see him as a top guy. Who's coming up that Eddie can sign? Delicious Orie?

Re: Eddie Hearn
Has there ever been a time when Eddie wasn't having 'beef' with another promoter or manager?
It was Frank for years, Shelly for a while, Arum, De La Hoya, Shalom, not sure about the Danish Nutter, and now it's trumps mate who looks like that cat from the memes a few years ago.
Did I miss anyone or was there ever a time when he wasn't giving interviews about his beef with other promoters?

The other one who was affiliated with PBC and Wilder. Based in New York. Can’t even remember his name.
I bet he even argues with himself in the mirror.

Is there any wonder that fighters would rather deal with Kinahan than these narcissistic pr*cks

Re: Eddie Hearn
Eddie thinks having these spouts , bustups, and beefs, with other promoters is his own version of being a fighter ,

I don’t mind him, boxings a dirty business and lots of people out to stab you in the back or have you over. He’s a good talker and clearly good at what he does, yeah he loves himself but guess you need to have thick skin when you are in the limelight that much.
Re: Eddie Hearn
I've never met Eddie Hearn and I don't know that much about him.
That's all, really.

Re: Eddie Hearn
If anyone else has never met Eddie Hearn can they also share that with us?
We can all swap stories about not meeting Eddie Hearn.
I didn't meet him at the Bruno v Bugner fight back in 1987 at the old White Hart Lane, even though we were both there.

Re: Eddie Hearn
the limellight is his choosing, so he leaves himself open to it. there have been bigger promoters who werent constantly setting up photo and video shoots of themself (many which dont have to do with any fight hes actually promoting). al haymon for a good few years was arguably the most powerful man in boxing with barely being seen, let alone filming pretty much everything he does, eagerly trying to get on camera at every weigh in and fighter entrance (or even flying into the ring before fights are even over lol), etc. even de la hoya is less attention seeking and self promotional. im surprised eddie hasnt commissioned an interviewer to turn up and get his take on the sh!t he took this morning. actually i better check youtube, maybe he hasControversial wrote: ↑03 Jul 2026, 15:06 I don’t mind him, boxings a dirty business and lots of people out to stab you in the back or have you over. i have much respect for him as a promoter, and i understand that being visible is part of that to an extent, but as a personality hes gotten so tedious and oversaturated for me after all these years, and i pretty much never watch stuff with him in it any more after initially liking him more than most.
Re: Eddie Hearn
With Daddys money behind him it would'nt matter if matchroom were a womens wear buisness , he had the financial backing , the buisness aculem , to fall back on with his father, and all the clever people his father employed, to fall back on .margaret thatcher wrote: ↑04 Jul 2026, 00:03the limellight is his choosing, so he leaves himself open to it. there have been bigger promoters who werent constantly setting up photo and video shoots of themself (many which dont have to do with any fight hes actually promoting). al haymon for a good few years was arguably the most powerful man in boxing with barely being seen, let alone filming pretty much everything he does, eagerly trying to get on camera at every weigh in and fighter entrance (or even flying into the ring before fights are even over lol), etc. even de la hoya is less attention seeking and self promotional. im surprised eddie hasnt commissioned an interviewer to turn up and get his take on the sh!t he took this morning. actually i better check youtube, maybe he hasControversial wrote: ↑03 Jul 2026, 15:06 I don’t mind him, boxings a dirty business and lots of people out to stab you in the back or have you over. But has it turns out he has a good buisness brain is a great salesman , and would off probably been succesful no matter what he done , with saying that the financial backing and spoon in the mouth , best schools ect ect gave him confidence in life
He loves the attention , he craves the acknolodgment , which i think is a desire to please his father, and he loves the tough guy thing , I think Eddies chose this over darts , golf , badmington , whatever other sport that may of took his fancy , because he wants to be a tough guy ,
he wants to be a boxer , he admires, and respects them, because there something he's not, and no amount of money could buy it him . These beefs with other promoters are all public , he;s not rocking up to Dana Whyte in the toilets and saying hey big mouth i don't like what you said lets have it ,. No its all public on U tube , on tv , on social media , where he knows theres no comebacks , because if Dana confronted him which i think he is capable of doing , it would go world wide followed by a multi million dollar lawsuit , he knows that , also he would surround himself with body guards which i don't know but would;nt be suprised if he already does
All in all he knows he's pretty safe having beef and public dust ups with older multi millionaires , like he said he loves it , it gives him a buzz , it makes him feel like a fighter , the ones he admires ,, theres also the buisness side of it mixed with the ego side , i think Eddie just loves to be in control and get his arse licked by the people he most would like to be like , FIGHTERS .
Read somewhere his old schoolmates all considered him a bully , and that does'nt suprise me . Mind you that does'nt take away the fact he is a VERY VERY GOOD PROMOTER , i've never read of him stooging a fighter for money , i do believe that , some , note ,the word some, fighters really are in the take care of them at all cost box , and too be honest if i was to manage a fighter , and the choice of any promoter , i would look close and if i thought Eddie had a good relationship and got on well with the fighter my advice would be GO TO EDDIE , , He;s a buisnessman , but i think he would be less likely to shaft his fighter
