Are scores getting deleted?

Unless I'm misremembering, I noticed that sometimes fight scores get dropped long after the fight (years). Are these corrections by boxing commissions, or some policy where unreliable/unverified scores get dropped?

Roberto Duran's debut was 40–36 from all 3 judges, but now it's not there. IIRC it was just a note with text, no full record with judges. Google AI overview for "roberto duran debut scorecards" still quotes boxrec as the source.

This was also just text, no links to judges or anything.

I do log in as an editor, but as far as I know that has no effect on the visibility of scores. All the bouts you mention here still have scores listed. From you examples, it seems to concern bouts where only scores are listed and not the individual judges.

Seems like there is *some* difference? I have a regular free account and they are just not there. This is how Hearns' last two fights look like to me:


But yes, it's only for scores that were just text, no judge links. I suspect the website treats them as different record types. There was a recent design update that probably introduced a few of bugs, if you look at other threads.
