The point is he wouldn't beat Usyk because Usyk is better than him. The size is not going to be a significant factor.
Cruiserweight Usyk had a much better work rate. So I prefer using him in most matchups
Well Usyk would need to be Heavyweight sized to fight Mercer so Heavyweight Usyk is the one it's gonna be.

The cruiserweight version is plenty big enough for a little guy like Mercer.
Since Usyk wouldn't be making weight, the Cruiserweight version would simply just not have to sweat off those last few pounds.
