Thailand’s softened up a lot recently. Obviously on weed but I’ve been a lot over the years and see more and more sniffers since the weed laws relaxed.

Also the steroids are freely available from pharmacies. Peptides too. Blood testing is super cheap also. So our old mate Charity Tyson will have his cycle fully on point after this little walkabout.

I’d rather go to Rajadamnerm or Lumpinee in Bangkok to watch Muay Thai since Pataya is really just a nonce’s paradise and quite a sickening place to visit. Extremely strange choice of area to live and train for a wealthy expat who is married with kids.

Tyson Fury only interested in 'dangerous' Mariusz Wach, not Anthony Joshua

Tyson Fury is expected to set up a long awaited date with Anthony Joshua on Friday with a win over Mariusz Wach in Thailand.

The contest – which is low key by Fury's standards – will take place at the Max Muaythai Stadium in Pattaya. It's a small venue that only holds 1,500 fans and normally plays host to amateur muay thai events, not former heavyweight champions of the world. Fury has insisted that he will not be taking a penny for the contest and all proceeds will be donated to the Father Ray Foundation, a charity that supports underprivileged children across Thailand.

The bout is intended to serve as a warm-up for Fury’s mega-fight against longtime rival Joshua later this year. Joshua, too, is expected to pick up victory this weekend when he takes on Kristian Prenga in Saudi Arabia on Saturday. Both are expected to come through relatively unscathed.

Wach, now 39-13 (20 KOs) and 46 years old, has not been anywhere near his best for some time, and Prenga, though 20-1 (20 KOs), is yet to face anyone of note.

However, Fury believes Wach – a loser in seven of his last 10 bouts – is more than capable of scuppering plans to face Joshua.

“Listen, this fight is a dangerous fight,” said Fury at Wednesday’s press conference. “Mariusz is the same size as me, same weight as me. He's had the same amount of fights, if not more than me. He's been in there with the most elite level champions out of two generations, two eras. Let me tell you, Mariusz Wach would put his fist through Joshua's opponent, whoever he is, Mr. Pringles [Kristian Prenga]. This man would knock him spark out, he's a real fighting man.”

Wach did not offer up much belief in himself when asked if he was coming to put an end to the Fury-Joshua talks.

“I’m here to take Tyson hard rounds,” said Wach through a translator. “Friday night is the most important in my career, so I will try to win.”

Despite constant talk of a contest with Joshua, Fury insisted it is not on his mind heading into Friday night.

“We're not interested in other people,” he said. “This is my show and I'm not interested in what's going on elsewhere with Joshua or Wilder or Usyk or anybody. This is about me and Mariusz, not about anybody else. What happens beyond Friday is none of my concern. No interest. What will be, will be, and what won't, won't. That's all I can say on that. And if it's to happen [fight with Joshua], God willing it does, great. But if it doesn't, also good.”

There has been questions over why Friday’s contest is taking place in a small venue out in Thailand, when Fury was first reportedly set to fight on August 1 in Dublin.

“Which other world champion on my level, high level athlete on earth would do a performance in a 1,500 seater in Patia?” Fury asked. “Do you think David Beckham would play a professional football match here or someone famous like that? No way. They're not just going to do it, because a lot of these big celebrities and big stars, sports stars, they think they're bigger than they actually are. Where I just think I'm the same old G as I've always been. A big fat fornicator in the shower and I don't think I'm bigger than I am.

“I could be at Wembley Stadium selling out 100,000 or Tottenham selling out 70,000 or [here in Thailand] selling 1,500 tickets. Does it matter? We're still going to go in there and have a good fight, me and Mariusz. So yeah, very happy to be here.”

Fury-Wach won't be broadcast or streamed live Friday

Tyson Fury’s stay-busy bout against Mariusz Wach will not be broadcast or streamed live Friday night.

The Ring’s Mike Coppinger reported during the latest episode of Inside The Ring, which streamed Monday on DAZN, that the 10-round heavyweight bout in Thailand still doesn’t have a broadcast or streaming partner. Highlights of their fight will eventually be shown as part of Fury’s Netflix series, “At Home With The Furys.”

Coppinger added that Fury (35-2-1, 24 KOs) will donate his entire purse to charity.

The bout is expected to serve as a final tune-up before Fury faces Anthony Joshua in an all-British heavyweight showdown later this year.

Joshua (29-4, 26 KOs), a two-time unified champion, returns to the ring Saturday to face Kristian Prenga in a 12-round heavyweight clash at Jeddah Superdome in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. Joshua versus Prenga will stream on DAZN PPV and as part of the DAZN Ultimate package.

Fury, The Ring’s No. 3-ranked contender and a former WBC champ, came out of retirement earlier this year and beat Arslanbek Makhmudov by unanimous decision on April 11 at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London.

Wach (39-13, 20 KOs) has largely served as an opponent for up-and-coming heavyweights in the latter half of his career. The 46-year-old veteran from Krakow, Poland, has shared the ring with the likes of Moses Itauma, Dillian Whyte, Martin Bakole, Jarrell Miller, Alexander Povetkin and challenged Wladimir Klitschko, a former unified heavyweight champion and International Boxing Hall of Famer, in 2012.

just look at the weigh in. Everything on this card is just awful and pathetic. I really hope AT LEAST ONE of favorites will take a L in this one. Almost all of the oponents looks like they just picked a random guys from streets of Thailand 24 hours before fight night. Just look at guy 2 meters tall, 260 lbs of ripped muscles with solid amateur pedigree doing a face off against 170 cm fat thai guy. Fury lighter than opponent for first time in 15 years

Tyson Fury was lighter than his opponent at the weigh-in for the first time in 15 years as he prepares to fight Mariusz Wach in Thailand on Friday.

The Briton tipped the scales at 18st 13lb (120kg) - 26lb less than veteran Wach's 20st 11lb (132kg) - before the heavyweight bout.

Fury, 37, will fight the 46-year-old in Pattaya in front of about 1,500 fans and without a television broadcaster.

It is only the fourth time in Fury's professional career he has weighed less than his opponent. The previous occasion was in his first fight against Derek Chisora in 2011.

He was also lighter than John McDermott and Daniil Peretyatko during a career spanning more than 17 years and 38 professional fights.

Fury arrived wearing a designer robe and a large cross chain. The former heavyweight champion joked and laughed with Wach during their face-off, playfully attempting to lighten the mood before the pair posed for photographs.

Fury is 3lb lighter than he was for his last outing against Arslanbek Makhmudov in April.

Wach has lost seven of his past 10 fights, including a knockout defeat by Moses Itauma two years ago.

The expected victory for Fury would set up the long-awaited fight with Anthony Joshua, who has his own warm-up bout against Kristian Prenga in Saudi Arabia on Saturday.

"I want to keep busy. I'm not banking on any fight that may or may not happen," Fury added.
