Canelo from his 154lbs days (2011-2015) vs Ennis who unified belts vs Zayas.
How do you see it going?
Canelo Alvarez vs Jaron Ennis (154lbs)

Ennis on points.

Well 2011 and 2015 are big difference. Ennis would beat Canelo from 2011. Canelo from Kirkland and Cotto fights would be too much for him IMO. And prime, 2017-2022 Canelo would beat the crap out of Ennis.

Re: Canelo Alvarez vs Jaron Ennis (154lbs)
I've seen nothing from Ennis that would have me putting him on Canelo's level yet. As he is today he'd probably be a handful for the Canelo that faced Austin Trout, but Canelo had come a long way by the end of his time at 154, and I feel he peaked physically at 160 and 168 which Ennis may do as well in time.
For now I'd have to give the benefit of the doubt to Canelo just because he's the more proven fighter.

I agree. Ennis looks really rood so far but has not proven he is in the discussion of great.gilgamesh wrote: ↑27 Jul 2026, 14:56 I've seen nothing from Ennis that would have me putting him on Canelo's level yet.
