NEW YORK, NY – December 9, 2025 – Most Valuable Promotions (MVP) today announced the signing of Britain’s undefeated WBC lightweight world champion and 2020 Olympian “Sweet” Caroline Dubois (11-0-1, 5 KOs) to its decorated roster of current and former world champions.

Dubois, who is widely regarded as one of the most exciting young talents in the sport, adds an immediate championship presence to MVP’s growing lightweight roster MVP British signees Ellie Scotney, Chantelle Cameron, WBO champion Terri Harper, Savannah Marshall, Ramla Ali, and Shannon Courtenay.

Dubois’ signing is the latest move underscoring MVP’s commitment to elevating elite UK women’s boxing on the global stage.

Dubois will make her promotional debut in a 10-round WBC lightweight world title defense at 135lbs against Italy’s Camila Panatta (8-2-1, 1 KO) on the preliminary card of MVP’s Jake vs. Joshua: Judgment Day at Kaseya Center in Miami, Florida, on Friday, December 19.

The mega-event is headlined by the colossal global showdown between boxing’s biggest disruptor, international superstar and WBA #15-ranked cruiserweight Jake “El Gallo de Dorado” Paul (12-1, 7 KOs) and two-time unified WBO, WBA, and IBF heavyweight world champion, Olympic gold medalist and knockout machine Anthony “AJ” Joshua (28-4, 25 KOs) at Kaseya Center in Miami, Florida, on Friday, December 19, live only on Netflix.

WBC lightweight world champion Caroline Dubois fights out of London, England. Her amateur career was nothing short of legendary, a dominant run that included winning the gold medal at the 2018 Youth Olympic Games, becoming England’s first World Youth Champion (2018), and capturing four European Youth Championship titles between 2016 and 2019.

This amateur dominance earned her the prestigious BBC Young Sports Personality of the Year award in 2019. In 2021, she represented Team GB at the Tokyo Summer Olympics, reaching the quarter-finals.

Wanted no part of Ferreira, saying she wants Baumgardner and would fight and beat Turhan (and being the bigger puncher??).

She comes across a bit cocky. Would have lost to Ferreira, maybe does ok vs Baumgardner but gets brutalised by Turhan.

Not many of them are mentioning Turhan and probably partly due to the Matchroom connections but Baumgardner didn't want to know when she was mandatory, Dubois, although mentioning her, is not really pushing for that, either.

MVP did try to sign Turhan, too but she decided to stick with Fast Car.

Probably just me, listening to her Boxing News interview where she rejects fighting Ferreira and but then calls out Teri Harper and then her Seconds Out interview saying she is the biggest puncher in women's boxing and then add to that her cringe back and forth with an equally cringe Baumgardner.

Caroline Dubois splits from trainer Shane McGuigan ahead of lightweight title defence vs Amelia Moore

Caroline Dubois will take on Amelia Moore at MVPW-6 in Birmingham on August 29; the event will be headlined by Mikaela Mayer and Chantelle Cameron, who will compete for the unified welterweight world championship; watch MVPW-06 live on Sky Sports

Caroline Dubois has parted ways with trainer Shane McGuigan before she bids to defend her WBC and WBO lightweight titles against Amelia Moore in Birmingham on August 29, live on Sky Sports.

McGuigan, who has established himself as one of the world's best boxing trainers, began working with Dubois in 2021.

Together, the pair have enjoyed some great success, with McGuigan guiding Dubois to victories over Maira Moneo, Bo Mi Re Shin, and the 25-year-old's title-unifying victory against Terri Harper in April.

In 2023, McGuigan backed Dubois to "capture all of the belts", adding "she is the best lightweight in the world".

"Even though the lightweight division is probably the most highly contested division in female boxing, she's blitzing everybody," he told Sky Sports.

McGuigan also said he expected the 25-year-old to become an undisputed champion across multiple weight classes.

"I genuinely believe she can do it at lightweight, super-lightweight and welterweight. She's still developing. She's getting much better all the time."

Dubois and Moore will fight at 135lbs over 10 two-minute rounds at the bp pulse LIVE Arena, with Mikaela Mayer and Chantelle Cameron set to headline the event, which is entirely composed of bouts between UK and USA female fighters.

But the English fighter is "frustrated" by having to defend her titles, rather than unify the belts. She had sought out a fight to challenge IBF lightweight champion Elif Nur Turhan, but was left disappointed when her team's proposals were pushed back.

"From what I hear and from what my promotions are telling me and my team is telling me, they made her [Turhan] an offer and she asked for such an astronomical, ridiculous amount. It was absurd. It was crazy," Dubois said.

"The amount she asked for, it wasn't even a laugh out of the room. It was just so ridiculous.

"She isn't about it. She thinks that she is something that she isn't and I'm really disappointed in her and how she's moving because it's all good to talk online. She asked for the most ridiculous number that, even if I told you, you would think I'm lying.

"So she just isn't about it. She's a joker and what you do with jokers, you just leave them alone. That's retirement money. That's never-fight-again type of money."

Dubois believes the fight with Turhan will happen eventually but is also eyeing up a meeting with WBA lightweight title holder Stephanie Han.

Earlier this year, the British fighter also called out Alycia Baumgardner, saying their much-anticipated bout "has to happen sooner rather than later".

"She's got no opponents," Dubois said. "She wanted the Katie Taylor fight, but that's not happening. She wanted the Amanda Serrano fight, but that's not happening, so who's she going to fight? Absolutely nobody.

"There's no one she can step into the ring with that's on my level. I say that with respect, but I know I'm her biggest challenger."

Caroline Dubois explains why she's switched Shane McGuigan for Manny Robles

Caroline Dubois, who will now be trained in America by Manny Robles, has explained her shock decision to leave long-time coach, Shane McGuigan.

London, England’s Dubois, promoted by MVP, is set to take on Amelia Moore in Birmingham, England, on August 29 when she defends her WBC and WBO lightweight titles.

The 13-0-1 (5 KOs) southpaw joined forces with McGuigan in 2021, the year before she turned professional. The pair enjoyed great success together, most recently beating Terri Harper in April. The 25-year-old, who moves purely to further her education, will now train alongside Andy Ruiz Jnr, Brandon Figueroa, and Oscar Valdez.

"Most times fighters leave a coach when they lost, and they want someone to blame or throw under the bus, that's a lame move," Dubois said.

"At the end of the day, I'm so happy and proud of the journey we had had together. I've become the unified world champion, I've announced myself into women's boxing and the biggest stage possible and we did that with Shane McGuigan as my coach and as a massive part of my team.

"I just want to say a massive thank you to Shane McGuigan who was a phenomenal coach and is a phenomenal coach. I'm honored, proud and privileged to be part of that.

"That work doesn't get forgotten, lost or disappear; it grows and adds to the stable. I'm on a quest for greatness and will do whatever it takes to get there, and for me, moving to America and trying a different coaching team is a part of that quest.

"I want to grow and develop and be the best fighter you've ever seen. A fighter should never stop learning or growing or limit themselves."
