Manor Place Baths boxing reunion
Next month they are reopening the old Manor Place Baths in Walworth in South London, a great boxing venue of the past. All are welcome (pay on the door) in aid of Herol "Bomber" Graham, who is currently in a mental institution. It should be a great 'do'.

They used to have high quality amateur shows there virtually every Monday evening in the 60s. Happy memories.

I attended one of the last pro shows there, in January 1978. Micky Minter (Alan's brother) was on the bill, as was perennial heavyweight disappointment Ishaq Hussein. You could hear the fighters warming up on the bags from the hall.

What was the story woth Ishaq Hussein - he seems an interesting character? At one point he was called Tshaka on the unlicensed circuit and as an amateur Leroy Timothy - all very odd. Do you know what happened to him?
