Mike Tyson vrs Tim Witherspoon (1988)

Whether Witherspoon is 100% as prepared and ready as he can get or if he's out of shape and has half assed his training. The only difference in the outcome is how Mike Tyson wins.

If Tim comes in having half assed his training, he's getting blasted out in 1 or 2 rounds.

If Tim comes in as ready as he can be. He'd lose by TKO around the 7th or 8th round.

Either way he's going to get stopped by Tyson I think. He's just not good enough to have a real shot at beating him, and he gets hit too much to last the distance.

Tyson couldn't stop Tucker, Smith, Green, Holyfield, etc. Even Ruddock managed to last the distance.

All of those guys except maybe Ruddock have a better chin than Witherspoon. Tyson did stop Ruddock once, but it was another one of those questionable Richard Steele calls.

Green didn't really fight anyone outside Tyson himself so not sure how we would rate his chin
I think he has a case for rating ahead of Holyfield though, he was kayoed by Bowe and dropped by Cooper and neither of those guys in my book hit like Smith.

I don't think outside the Smith fight Witherspoon was ever dropped until his 40s, is there another knockdown I'm missing? I know he was hurt in other fights but I don't think he hit the floor

Bonecrusher was knocked out by Ruddock. He also dropped him hard in the fight prior to that.
