Sorry, while it will be nice to get your results, jezzamundo's survey a few months ago was more comprehensive and as a consequence one should stick to this one as "boxrec AT heavyweight ranking". As a reminder, the outcome was:elmersalsa wrote:OK guys, I will compile all the results and give the final tally. This should be forever our official heavyweight ranking, just like the boxrec hall of fame thread results.

No offense guys, but this subject never fails to crack me up.
"ARE YOU CRAZY ? Don'y you know fighter A fought fighter B in 1932, and that was the year that hs stubbed his toe, and fighter C had tougher opponets that year, So you see, fighter E, who fought fighter A a year before, beat him, but was knocked out by Fighter F, who in the second fight of his career, was KOd by Fighter Cs stablemate, who once lost a close decision to fighter G. Besides that, fighter C once had a draw with fighter A, and fighter H was fighter Ds sparring parttner, and he once gave him a bloody nose, so that proves fighter B was better then fighter D, who was much better then fighter H, unless you are talking about 1934, when fighter H was a much better fighter then fighter A, C OR D, or 1936, when fighter A was the best in the division ! (Duhhhh!!)
So based on that, your list sucks, beacuse you have fighter B at 19th, when he should be at 20th, and you have fighter A at 17th when any fool can see he should be NO higher then 19th !!! Whats WRONG with you ?????
LOL
These lists, especially after the top 5, within reason, are totally subjective. It is a bit...no,,it is very silly to argue over fighter A being otwo or 3 slot behind Fighter B, when "He should be one slot ahead of him damn it" !!!
It is just too funny how some try to over intellectualize it.
Some criteria would help as well.
Against each other in their prime ?
Who had the best run during their prime ?
Who did the best against their opponents ?
Who acheived the most over the coarse of their career ?
All very different lists, especially since prior to the 70s, most of the all time great heavyweights, would have been cruiserweights.
Would Ezzard Charles have beaten Valuev ? No ? Oh, so does that mean Valuev belongs in the top 20 ???????
Ranking lists are cool, but without criteria, and when some think they have the exacxt numbers down to some pseudo scinece, it just becomes a silly pissing contest.
