Teremoana
Just smashed up another guy in double quick fashion this morning
Hearns says he is the next big thing in the heavyweight division and will punch Itamu's bonce off. I'm not buying it

Re: Teremoana
I would be well chuffed if he turned out to be as good as a David Tua or World level for a few years but impossible to say given what he's fought so far.
A fight against Demsey McKean would be a great fight next

Re: Teremoana
His opponents definitely need to get better but I genuinely think he’s a potential threat at world level. Difficult to tell at this point but he can certainly punch and gave Jalolov a decent fight at the Olympics. I hope he does well he’s very likeable too

Re: Teremoana
he is genuinely really good and a legit puncher. which makes it baffling to me why they are matching him like this.
he stopped many guys in the ams who are far better than any of his pro opponents

Re: Teremoana
And he's not that young. Lack of financial backing perhaps? Or maybe they've seen things in sparring. Either way, time to have a gomargaret thatcher wrote: ↑12 Aug 2026, 15:21 he is genuinely really good and a legit puncher. which makes it baffling to me why they are matching him like this.

Re: Teremoana
I like him a lot. If he wanna fight this level of oposition, need to fight 6 times a year. Otherwise, step up needed. One way or another, i wanna see him against level of Ajagba, Sanchez, Parker before he turn 30.
Re: Teremoana
He.s big he can punch he looks confident , but Hearns talking shite . He's scared to match him keeps babbling on about Aussies not wanting to fight him WHAT aussie how many is there 6 ...7 take him to Europe Allen Chisora will test him

Hearn will talk like that and then put him in with Dave Allen.

Re: Teremoana
He is very quickly dealing with people he should be very quickly dealing with. But yeah the standard of opponent is very poor indeed.
Re: Teremoana
Should get put in with someone like Wallin or Hughie. Experienced and well give him rounds but they're not a threat to anyone who's that good.
Re: Teremoana
Yes at least 6 fights a year if your blasting guys out fast.

2025 he had 4 fights. 3 fights this year. BUT all were very low level fighters.Terminator666 wrote: ↑15 Aug 2026, 05:25 Turned pro 2020- one fight in 2022 none in 2023 and one in 2024 - been a bit busier since then![]()
Fighters that I expect an Olympic fighter would face in their first or 2nd year.
He needs to step up from novice fights to either other prospects or former contenders.
Guys that can give him rounds and at least try to win, not just trying to not get knocked out.
Step it up or fight monthly against a level above what he has been fed

Re: Teremoana
Hearn is protecting him as FW has all the best heavies. He doesn’t want to risk him. Boxing isn’t big in Oz, apart from Tszyu and novelty fights. I think Hearn should look to move Teremoana to US or maybe UK which has a strong heavyweight presence.tiny_acres wrote: ↑15 Aug 2026, 13:272025 he had 4 fights. 3 fights this year. Re: Teremoana
his opponents are so laughably needlesslyl bad.. all these facile blowouts that get him hardly any rounds or meaningful experience are completely foreseeable
like.....44 year old bowie tupou coming off a ko loss
former super middle aleem whitfield who had 2 fights in 9 years. how did it even enter in their minds to fight whitfield?
how about, instead of tupou, whitfield, savage, curtis harper....they match him vs one of the guys who recently beat those fighters: brandom moore, roney hines, joe goodall?
teremoana knocked out many good amateurs who boxed at or near olympic level, far better opponents than anyone hes faced as a pro. ive never seen him hurt or show obvious glaring flaw. he looks to have serious ability for a big man. they could move him up a few levels and stil have him win comfortably

Re: Teremoana
and i get that he's 28 and only 12 fights........but why stagnate needlessly when he already has quite a good package to work with?
i have hyped him a lot but now im complaining most posts about him cuz all these laughable knockovers. he's far too good imo for that to be that narrative but its hard not to focus on it right now

Reminds me of Lewis stylewise. Quite happy to snap out the jab waiting for openings and he turns the right cross over the same way Lewis did at times.
