Sorry Wardley is not gonna improve , not with his current trainer anyway , he needs to go with a coach who is going to take him away strip everything he knows and teach him the basics , Not elaborate plans 1, 2 and 3 just good baSIC BOXING How to use body pressure and force mistakes , how to follow up , and his distance , and most of all a decent DEFENCE .

Afraid a confident DD just has a high guard good straight left followed by basic combos ,walks him down ,and smashes him earlier this time , nothing fancy just a seek and destroy

He is never going to technicaly Improve. The question is does he have to....

Your plan is to basically start again. It's like telling wilder to try be usyk you cant just do that...... if your a dangerous unorthodox puncher lean into it... He will never be a better technical boxer than even a Nathan gorman or even a Tom little.... but his chin, power and cardio mean he is a live opponent vs everyone in the world...

Dubois needs to work the body more in rematch IMHO. He has great body work but we barely saw it against Wardley… cracking Wardleys chin is like hitting a concrete wall. Should have gone downstairs

Your correct he's never going to be a technical boxer , , he has to use what he's got , chin ,power , determination , fitness , and don't even think about trying to outbox good boxers , so plan 1,,2,, and 3 are never going to work for him , he just needs to drag them into what he does best a fight ,, BUT to do this he needs to learn distance , basics , and how to apply body pressure to make them throw and counter, how to defend Parry , move and slip better all BASIC BOXING which he can still learn and master, I don't think it would take a good trainer long to get him better at these things , Mckracken I think would be a good fit for him , Its amazing how many you see who fight at the highest level and make schoolboy errors , AJ is a perfect example of how not to throw a punch and leave yourself open he never really jabbed while dropping his right hand before , watch him its no wonder he's getting dropped so much throws one hand drops the other gets countered , its amazing at that level , he never done it under Mackracken

DUBOIS-WARDLEY REMATCH ANNOUNCED FOR OCT. 17 AT O2 ARENA IN LONDON

Daniel Dubois and Fabio Wardley will meet in a world heavyweight title rematch on October 17 at London’s 02 Arena.

Dubois claimed the WBO belt from Wardley on May 9, when he climbed up off the canvas twice to bludgeon his way to an 11th-round stoppage in a bloody battle in Manchester.

Wardley (20-1-1, 19 KOs), who had selected Dubois as a voluntary defense of his belt, opted to trigger the immediate rematch clause in the contract and recently returned to the gym as he plots his path to revenge.

At a packed O2 Arena on Saturday night, ahead of the clash between Moses Itauma and Filip Hrgovic for the vacant IBF heavyweight title, Queensberry Promotions confirmed that the duo will meet again here in seven weeks.

Dubois and Wardley were also brought face-to-face for the first time since their memorable clash three months ago, as they kicked off the promotion for the return.

Dubois (23-3, 22 KOs) is The Ring’s No. 1-rated contender for Oleksandr Usyk's title, while Wardley (20-1-1, 19 KOs), who suffered the first defeat of his career against the Londoner, sits at No. 4.

“I will have another dominant victory and an amazing performance,” Dubois said. “I can’t wait, let’s get it on.”

On the two knockdowns, he added, “It’s a war. When you get in the water you’re going to get wet and I love every bit of it.”

Wardley, who was given a rousing reception by the crowd inside the arena, said, “The O2 is like a home away from home for me. I’m looking forward to getting straight back into it, it’s going to be a rematch and it’s going to be revenge.”

Daniel Dubois, Fabio Wardley heavyweight title rematch set for October

Daniel Dubois and Fabio Wardley's rematch for the WBO heavyweight title has been confirmed for Oct. 17 in London.

The rematch was announced at the O2 Arena on Saturday in the build-up to Moses Itauma's heavyweight title bout with Filip Hrgovic. The fighters faced off, going nose-to-nose for the first time since their first fight.

They produced a fight of the year contender in May, with Dubois (23-3, 22 KOs) beating Wardley with a Round 11 stoppage to take his title and become a two-time heavyweight champion.

After Wardley (20-1-1, 19 KOs) activated the rematch clause in the days after the fight, the second act has been confirmed to take place at the O2 later this year.

"Another major performance and dominant victory, I can't wait," Dubois said. "Let's get it on."

Dubois survived two knockdowns in Round 1 and Round 3 with a classy boxing display and was heading for a victory on the scorecards before referee Howard Foster stopped the fight in Round 11.

"[Negotiations] didn't take long at all. The O2 is like a home away from home for me," Wardley said on DAZN. "Looking forward to getting straight back into it. Going to be a rematch and going to be revenge.

"We came into the fight with all the confidence in the world, but adjustments needed to be made."

Ffs. Just seen the in ring face off. Dubois says ‘let’s have some of that face to face shit’ and Wardley has to look away to stop himself from bursting out laughing right in Dubois’ face.

Dubois can fight, but always seems like he's nervous about how he's coming across in Public. Needs to loosen up more.

'It's going to be revenge,' says Fabio Wardley as Daniel Dubois rematch is confirmed

Daniel Dubois and Fabio Wardley are set to rematch on October 17 at the O2 Arena in London, England. The WBO heavyweight belt Dubois snatched from Wardley in 11 brutal rounds in May.

Dubois rose from two early brushes with the canvas to pound the resistance out of the game – and perhaps too game – Wardley. Such was damage dished out, there was concern for the loser in the aftermath.

But Wardley, 20-1-1 (19 KOs), insists he’s all healed with lessons learned.

The 31-year-old has rebounded before. In 2024, in a rematch, he pounded Frazer Clarke into first round defeat after being held to a draw in the first fight.

After that, Wardley beat Justis Huni at Portman Road, Ipswich before scoring the biggest win of his career to date, at the O2, with an 11th-round stoppage of Joseph Parker.

“The O2 is like a home away from home for me,” said Wardley.

"I’m looking forward to getting back to it. It’s going to be revenge [against Dubois].

"Adjustments need to be made; I have done it before against Frazer Clarke. I’ve proven I can change."

Even so, the 23-3 (22 KOs) Dubois – still the only man to defeat new IBF boss Filip Hrgovic – will start as favorite.

"I’m going for a dominant victory,” said the 28-year-old. “I can’t wait. Let’s get it on.”

Wardley by stoppage

Dubois is rightly favourite after winning the first one, but Wardley had him down twice and we already know how dangerous he is when he gets a second look at someone. Clarke went from a life-and-death draw to being flattened in round one.

Davison is 3-0 in genuine rematches with the same fighter: Wood avenged Lara, Wardley destroyed Clarke and Wood beat Warrington again. Dubois, meanwhile, is 0-1 in rematches — Usyk stopped him four rounds earlier the second time, Dubois wasn't even competitive— and Don Charles is 1-3 in rematches where he also trained the first fight.

Small samples obviously, but add the two knockdowns from the first Wardley-Dubois fight and I’ll take the underdog to make the better adjustments and finish the job this time.

5 months after that shellacking feels too soon. Like this is a big fight, want a 12 week camp…. Does that mean he was back in camp sparring 2 months after that brain rattling? I don’t really love that if so. I honestly thought this fight should have been 2027, but if your going 2026 should have been at least December.

It’s a live fight. But if DDDs jab starts thudding home wardly will have some ptsd to get over…
