Mixes her power up well Ayton
Re: George Liddard vs. Dario Morello | DAZN - 22 August 2026
I honestly think 2 minute rounds probably benefit Punchers like Ayton. You can go more all out with your punching power if you're only gonna be fighting for 20 minutes instead of 30.
I figure a longer distance would favor the more Defensively minded fighter.
I know if I were the manager of Ayton or someone like Nur Turhan. I wouldn't want my Girl fighting in 3 minute round bouts, and I'd try to push back against it. Just because as I say I think the 2 minute rounds benefits their style.
In Tiah Mai's case though. The round could be 1 minute or 5 minutes. It doesn't matter. You're getting your ass kicked

Tiah really is impressive and only turned 20 today. She’s extremely talented
Re: George Liddard vs. Dario Morello | DAZN - 22 August 2026
If she fought Amando Serrano next she'd beat her in my opinion, but I perfectly understand that they'll take their time with her, and there's no reason not to.
I say give her 2 to 3 more fights at a slight increase on titles she's going for. She could take the British title and then just for good measure defend it a time or 2 or whatever, but after that I mean...hell line 'em up. Tiara Brown, Amanda Serrano, Dina Thorslund. She'll beat anyone they put in front of her for the next 10 years.
The megafight for her one of these days is going to be Gabriela Fundora. Those 2 are on a Collision Course.

Will be an excellent fight. Bonkers to think she’s only today out of her teens. She will make real money as she can punch too.gilgamesh wrote: ↑22 Aug 2026, 14:50 If she fought Amando Serrano next she'd beat her in my opinion, but I perfectly understand that they'll take their time with her, and there's no reason not to.

Sains is a tough man. Got hit hard and didn’t wilt. His ceiling isn’t massive but his cojones are.

Yeah, it's tough to endure getting hurt in the body like that. He pulled through. Gutsy effort, and a good learning experience for him.SeanBrennan wrote: ↑22 Aug 2026, 15:38 Sains is a tough man. Got hit hard and didn’t wilt. His ceiling isn’t massive but his cojones are.

118-110 Sains, won the fight off the jab, outworked Cowling most rounds, kept things simple, jabs, rights, never landed anything big until the last round, all the eye catching shots came from Cowling, just not busy enough although still having success, creased Sains to the body in the 6th and hurt him some more before the round was out but didn't capitalise, Sains recovered well and got his jab going again and picked up the rounds, it wasn't until the 12th it looked like he wanted to hurt Cowling and maybe get him out of there, still a great win, Commonwealth title, 12 hard rounds under his belt and a gut check

Butt v Gordon styles blending very well.
Re: George Liddard vs. Dario Morello | DAZN - 22 August 2026
How fit must Gordon be to produce an 11th round like that.
He’s not winning this fight but he’s got some more big nights on DAZN that’s for sure.

Didn't see that result coming. With a round to go, Buttigieg was 1/100 on Bet365

Good nights work for Liddard against an awkward dogged opponent in Morello who although wouldn't engage much, fought in spurts and looked a bit wild now and again , Liddard too good though, bigger and stronger, was starting rounds fast, putting it on Morello, looked like he wasn't gonna make it out the 2nd but he had a solid beard but he was taking big shots and his energy bar was going down every round, the cut as well, Liddard hurt him in the 8th early and a clubbing right hand finally put Morello down, probably should've been stopped there but he at least made it out the round
