Wouldn't be surprised if Fury favours MSG, on account of their boxing media showing him more respect than the UK press. For Joshua it's the reverse.

I'd like it at the Principality for a neutral UK venue.
Wherever it is, the crowd will be pro Fury. Massively at Wembley. AJ'S fans were all casuals and most have disappeared. The crowd for the Dubois fight was weirdly timid.
At Wembley the crowd will be mixed and may even favour Fury, but Brits love an underdog and if AJ wins, he''ll be cheered out of the stadium.

It will be full of travellers. They won't mind paying over the odds for this one, either. They won't be cheering on Femi if he chins Tyson. No chance.

He’s more than happy to fight here, why wouldn’t he be? He’s won inside the distance at MSG and Wembley. AJ has lost inside the distance at both.
He doesn’t want the AJ fight here

He’ll do whatever Netflix want and if that means that the tens of thousands of his gypsy followers miss out on a massive never to be forgotten night at Wembley he couldn’t care less

Why have you started calling him Femi all of a sudden?
Keithmoonhangover likes to use different names. I'm amazed he doesn't call Muhammad Ali "Clay".
I just call Fury by his birth name.
Hey, Keith, I was just watching a Matt Legg interview with his old trainer and he (Legg) mentioned "AJ", the tainer replied, "I can't call him that, I've known him since he was a kid, as you know, he's called Femi".

We'll see how many fans they attract if/where it ever happens, but geographically at least, Wembley/Spurs/O2 is Joshua's home ground and AO/Co-op Fury's.

Longer this sharade goes on think the less likely we will see it , and dispite trying to play saviour of english boxing Hearn i think is the one to blame if it does'nt happen , does'nt matter if its held in timbuktoo, its GOT TO happen when it suits American tv so in reality what do the money men care about having it in the UK , 100000 spectators at wembley is not going to cover there costs and make them money , but 20 million new subscribers might

I think really if theres any reason for it not to go on its Hearn and AJ don't really fancy there chancies of winning anymore , Hearn it seems is definetly using this contract shite has his excuse , he's all but pulling out and definetly seems tobe the reaason for the holdup , dfoes'nt matter how many times he goes on Kugans show and tells u tube we have a contract , he's not stupid he knows the reasons Netflix wants it in the states .

Ok he may have a point AJ will have to pay a bit more in tax , but Netflix may have a point if they say sorry he will have to wear it were already paying a colosal amount and were not paying more , after all who's he gonna fight if this does'nt happen and how much will he get paid to fight whoever ,,

You take the Dana problem , and even then Hearn is'nt stupid , he knows why King TutTUT AND NETFLIX HAVE LET dANA sprout his mouth off , he says why should he allow Dana to be involved but the real question is why have Tuttut and netflix allowed Dana to sprout off , the answers simple PUBLICITY dana can command the tv space , radio space and general publicity in the states that Hearn can only dream off ,

So all in all even though Hearn may have a get out of jail card , why would flash it around and cause all this grief , so much so , that theres a chance the while thing could be put in the too hard basket and won't happen , If his Ego causes this one to collapse , AJ should fook him right off , unless of course AJ himself just does,nt fancy his chances for any amount of money and is in fact the one pulling Hearns strings

Eddie Hearn: 'There have been breaches in Anthony Joshua's contract for Tyson Fury fight'

Eddie Hearn has accused TKO of leaking emails in order to push a narrative regarding Matchroom’s demands for Anthony Joshua-Tyson Fury to take place in the US.

Talks of staging a long-overdue contest between Joshua and Fury appeared to hit a standstill after it was revealed that the event’s chief financier, Turki Alalshikh, was looking to take the fight stateside.

However, in Joshua’s contract it stipulates that the contest must take place in the UK.

Boxing Scene’s Lance Pugmire reported on Thursday the details of an addendum sent to Saudi Arabia’s event management/entertainment company Sela by Matchroom – Joshua’s promoter – with their demands to accept the fight taking place in New York’s Madison Square Garden.

The report detailed standard contractual inclusions addressing ticket requests, security, and transportation assurances, and also that Joshua collects his remaining purse from his second-round knockout of Kristian Prenga on July 25 in Saudi Arabia.

The report also included a string of bouts that Matchroom suggested take place on the undercard.

Also mentioned were requests that were not part of the addendum. These were that all monies payable to Matchroom across all future darts and snooker events be paid immediately, international promotional fees plus deposits for World Series of Darts and 167 Riyadh Season events, confirmation that the Ronnie O’Sullivan Academy snooker license be renewed for a third year, and that all other funds owed to Matchroom for prior boxing events be paid immediately. Hearn insists these were nothing to do with Joshua-Fury negotiations.

Regardless, Hearn is adamant they still hope to bring the fight to London’s Wembley Stadium.

“The reality is no one's really acknowledging that we've signed the contract,” said Hearn. “People say, ‘Oh, the fight could fall through.’ It can't fall through. It can't, unless Sela and Saudi want to breach the contract and not stage a fight they've signed to stage, which wouldn't happen either. ‘Anthony Joshua wants to walk away from the fight.’ We can't walk away from the fight. We've signed a contract. So we're in. All we need is Turki Alalshikh or Netflix to call us and say, Wembley Stadium or wherever in the UK, this is the date. We'll have the press conference this week. It's done.”

Reports have also suggested that Hearn is requesting Joshua be paid more if the bout takes place in the US to make up for the extra tax he will incur.

“What they want to do is they want to pay Anthony Joshua less money, because that's how it will work out with the difference in location,” explained Hearn. “They want him to do a load of additional stuff. And I'm not going to blow things up, which I could do so easily, but there has been breaches in Joshua's contract already, which we've let slide because these guys are our partners, and our friends, or were. But there's a game being played at the moment where some of you guys are being fed emails and information to try and dress things up to spin a narrative that's just not true. And I'll address that now.

“Lance Pugmire phones me up, and I had a number of other calls as well. ‘Oh, this email has just landed on my desk from you.’ Firstly, that's a plant, and it was sent by TKO to journalists to basically try and… I actually was told by a number of people that they're actually financially incentivising people to repost Tyson Fury's story of him trying to spin a narrative. It's absolutely wild what's going on.

“The email that was sent was an email between Matchroom and Sela detailing outstanding points that we want resolved,” he continued. “The addendum that was sent to Sela regarding the changes that we want to the contract if you want to do the fight in the US did not have one of those things from that leaked email in. So it's just a mental game. And I can't believe these people are actually going to these lengths. It's unbelievably flattering that people in their position, with their power, want to do things like that. But it's a dirty, dirty game.

“And I'm just shocked at the way it's playing out because we don't breach contracts. We never have. When we sign up to something, when we agree to something. When we shake hands on something, it's done. So, yeah, it's disappointing. Now, we get a lot less money if we take the fight in America compared to the UK. Is that fair, having signed a contract?”

The reports detailing missed payments from Saudi Arabia to Matchroom and Hearn’s subsequent comments would lead one to believe there could be a rift growing between the two parties.

“Well, the only reason that came out is because it was leaked by their partners [TKO]. I didn't go to them,” Hearn said. “I think someone from a certain team phoned me and goes, ‘Oh, did you leak that email?’ I was like, ‘Are you mad? What, leaking an email about a Ronnie O'Sullivan snooker academy to try and make myself look bad? Yeah, yeah, definitely.’

“What they tried to do was take an email that wasn't even in the context of an addendum and pretend that these were all the things that we were asking for in the addendum. Luckily enough, I had the addendum and none of it was in there. So I had the opportunity to go back to these journalists and Lance Pugmire and others and say, ‘100 per cent we are not asking for those things.’

“I don't want to be talking about missed payments and what we've been promised and what we have. I don't want to air laundry like that. But that was done by them, which was even more mental. Not by the Sela, but by their partners. So, crazy. Desperation.”

The proposed date of November 20 at New York’s Madison Square Garden is quickly approaching and Hearn admitted time is running out for that date.

“We've sent them our thoughts on changes we would want if the fight was to take place in America,” he said. “We've said we don't want you to make those changes, but it's been a couple of days now. We haven't heard back. We've been told we're going to receive some comments on that. But don't forget, Netflix is spending a lot of money. They want a big build-up. They want all these press conferences and stuff like that. And we have to get in camp. So at the moment, this week is probably the deadline for the proposed date.”

When pressed on a deadline for the fight to happen in New York, Hearn responded: “I can't tell you that, because that's not my show, but yeah, I think we're running out of time.”

Despite all parties bar Matchroom seemingly keen on staging the contest in New York, Hearn remains hopeful that everyone will see sense and stage the fight in the UK.

“All this stuff over the last couple of weeks has only, not intentionally, but it's only grown the demand and the size of this fight,” he said. “If Turki Alalshikh and Netflix come back now and say the fight's happening at Wembley, November 21st, imagine, the country would go nuts. Netflix should be looking at that saying, ‘Yeah, you know what, this story's quite incredible. Imagine what Britain would do if they now landed that fight.’

“100,000 people at a national stadium. Listen, if it's in New York, we'll all go. I'm sure it'll be great, we'll be looking around, but let's be honest, everybody in this room, standing in Wembley Stadium with 100,000 Brits, looking around as Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua ring walk. I mean, I could fornicating retire on the spot. You know what I mean? And I know that I'm going to go to New York, and listen, we'll do our job and all that kind of stuff. It's just not going to be the same. And that's why we're fighting so hard.”

Hearn also admitted he would not budge on Dana White or TKO being involved as promoters of the event. However, he admitted he would not be able to stop White standing on stage if Fury signs with Zuffa Boxing or an advisory role with the UFC head.

“That's not getting changed. The promoter of the fight is Turki Alalshikh,” Hearn said. “Tyson Fury said something interesting. See, Fury's always up to games, ‘Dana, come on my team. Be my manager. Be my advisor.’ So, yeah, if Tyson Fury signs with Dana White, I probably can't do a lot about him being on Tyson Fury's team. But what he can't be is what he said he was, which is the promoter of the event. Now all of a sudden he's backtracking, saying he spoke to the venue and he checked their availability and he did the deal. So he's a venue booker now. But what he's not is the promoter of the event.

“I think the person who has really kiboshed this event is Dana because of his attitude.”

'No one can pull out' of Anthony Joshua, Tyson Fury fight - Eddie Hearn

Eddie Hearn has said that "no one can pull out" of the anticipated heavyweight showdown between Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury.

Joshua's promoter Hearn is confident the fight would go ahead as the contracts have been signed, despite Fury's comments earlier this week that the fight "doesn't look like it is going to happen."

Speaking to DAZN, Hearn said: "We've signed the contract, we're waiting for a date. You saw Tyson Fury shouting and screaming ... There's nothing to shout and scream about, the fight's done.

"The fight's signed. No one can pull out of the fight. You can't just pull out of a contract.

"There's no suggestion that the fight's not happening, no one can stop this fight from happening. The only way it can stop from happening is if they actually breach the contract."

While a date in November seems to have been agreed, there is much conversation as to where the one of the biggest fights in British boxing history will take place.

Both Fury and Joshua have signed separate contracts with Saudi Arabian-owned organisers Sela.

Hearn has insisted their deal includes a clause for the fight to be staged in the UK but Sela's preference is for New York's famed Madison Square Garden to play host.

"We know everybody and his dog involved in the fight wants to do the fight in America. We don't," Hearn said.

"We've told Sela and the team if you want to do it in America, these are the terms that we can move forward with. But we'd rather not please."

Tyson Fury training in Miami for Anthony Joshua - the fight will happen, says Frank~Warren

Frank~Warren is confident that the Tyson Fury-Anthony Joshua showdown will go ahead despite the recent disagreement between Sela and Matchroom Boxing regarding Joshua’s contract.

At the root of the issue is Joshua’s initial contract stipulating the heavyweight contest must happen in the UK.

Chief financier Turki Alalshikh and Netflix, the broadcaster for the event should it occur, remain insistent that it must take place in the US, however, in an effort to maximize the broadcast audience.

“I definitely think [the fight] will happen,” Warren, who stages Moses Itauma-Filip Hrgovic on Saturday, told Sky Sports. “I think [Turki Alalshikh] will announce it fairly soon. I know there’s been some issues with contracts with Matchroom and ‘AJ’. I believe they’ll iron those out.

“In the meantime, Tyson has flown off to the States, he’s in Miami and he’s preparing for the fight.”

The location of the bout, between two British heavyweights who made their names in Britain, continues to stir emotion. For Warren, though, he doesn’t believe the fight’s staging on American soil is anything out of the ordinary.

“I think they both want the fight at Wembley, but it’s out of their hands now. Well, that’s not quite right, they could refuse to fight. But then we don’t get the fight that everyone wants to see.

“I think because the amount of money that they’re getting paid, I believe it will go on.

“I hope I’m wrong, but I think it will go on in America, for obvious reasons… But that’s nothing unusual; you had massive, massive American heroes, in Muhammad Ali and George Foreman, Vegas wanted it, Madison Square Garden wanted it, and it went off to Zaire in 1974. People thought, ‘what’s that all about?’ But it’s become not only an iconic fight, it’s an iconic moment in sport. Then there was Ali with Frazier, third fight, ‘Thrilla in Manila’… So, it’s nothing unusual.

“They are professional boxers; I’m not going to make any excuses about it. Would I like to see it, would all the fans like to see it at Wembley? Of course they would. But they’re in the hands of another broadcaster who wants the fight in America.”

November 20 has been the widely circulated date.

“I think it will be early November,” Warren said.

“There’s a couple of dates being bandied around but, it’s like all these things, until everyone says, ‘great, it’s done’, it’s not done.

“I just hope they manage to resolve that before the weekend.”

Anthony Joshua should never have left Robert McCracken, says Carl Froch

Carl Froch does not believe the current training team of Anthony Joshua is doing him any favors and the heavyweight should have stayed with coach Robert McCracken.

Froch, trained by McCracken throughout his career, retired in 2014 as a super middleweight beltholder after flattening George Groves in their high-profile rematch.

Joshua, 30-4 (27 KOs), parted ways with McCracken in 2022. He has since been trained by Robert Garcia, Derrick James, Ben Davison, and is now under the guidance of Team Usyk’s Sergey Lapin.

The former heavyweight champion, who has not worn a belt since leaving McCracken, was dropped and hurt by the unheralded Kristian Prenga in July. Following that calamitous opening round, the advice – or lack of – Joshua received drew criticism from some observers.

Regardless, Joshua then blitzed Prenga in the second.

“Team Usyk is probably the right team to get him fit and maybe get him in a good mental place,” Froch told NewBettingSites.uk.

“Are they the right team for the corner work after what I watched [between rounds versus Prenga]? No, because there is a language problem. There is a communication barrier. Some of the stuff they were saying, I didn’t even understand what they meant by it. It was a bad attempt at a motivational speech.

“Should he have Rob in the corner? I think he should have always stayed with Rob McCracken in the corner. Rob McCracken is a man of principles. He is not a man motivated by money. He is motivated by boxing, loyalty, honesty and integrity, and he has got your back.”

Froch, who’s reinvented himself as an outspoken ex-fighter in retirement, doesn’t believe that McCracken would entertain the idea of a reunion.

“Would Rob have him back? I can’t speak for Rob McCracken, but I can give my opinion on it. Not a cat in hell’s chance would Rob McCracken ever work with Anthony Joshua, in my opinion. Ever. That ship has sailed. AJ does not deserve somebody like Rob McCracken after the way he treated him.”

Fury Flies To U.S. To Train; Warren Optimistic He’ll Fight Joshua

Tyson Fury has returned to the United States as the negotiations saga continues for his forthcoming fight against Anthony Joshua.

Fury’s promoter, Frank~Warren, provided a positive update on Tuesday as to where dealings stand for the all-British battle between former heavyweight champions.

“I genuinely think it will happen. His Excellency, Turki Alalshikh, will announce that fairly soon,” Warren told Sky Sports. “I know there’s been some issues with contracts with Matchroom and AJ. I believe they will iron all those out. In the meantime, Tyson [Fury] has flown off to the States. He’s in Miami and he’s preparing for the fight."

Fury made Thailand his home base for his last two camps, but he’s now returning to training in America for the first time in five years after his trilogy fight against Deontay Wilder. Fury fought five times consecutively in the United States from 2018 to 2021; Joshua has competed just twice stateside.

In June, Fury put rumors to rest that he was banned from traveling to the United States after attending the UFC event at the White House.

In recent weeks, the chief hurdle for Fury-Joshua officially crossing the finish line has been whether it will take place in the U.S. or UK. A November 20 date on Netflix at New York’s Madison Square Garden has been targeted for the tilt.

“I think they both want the fight at Wembley, but it’s out of their hands now,” Warren said. “That’s not quite right, actually. They could refuse to fight. We don’t get the fight we want to see.

“I think because of the amount of money involved, I hope I’m wrong, but I think it will go on in America. Would I like to see it at Wembley? Would all the fans like to see it at Wembley? Of course they would. But they are in the hands of another broadcaster who wants the fight in America.”

Fury (36-2-1, 25 KOs) and Joshua (30-4, 26 KOs) both scored tune-up wins within a day of each other last month, albeit in completely different fashions.

Fury comfortably stopped Mariusz Wach in seven rounds July 25 in Thailand, away from the TV cameras. Joshua got dropped twice by Kristian Prenga in the opening round and bounced back to score a stoppage in the second.

Do you think if they were both pushing for it to be in the UK it would be more likely to happen?

If AJ gets the contract amendments he’s seeking it gives his landlord schtik a bit more credence and who knows it may give him a psychological boost on fight night

Half? You don't think that Turki stays at all if they both say UK only?

These two multi millionaire twats have made this event, now not much of an event, insufferable for ten long years.
Late November?
Probably next year by the sound of it...
