Matthew Ellis

Post by jomothepure »

He was meant to be making his return on Saturday, but looks like he didn't fight. I know his opponent Tubby Kecskes had to pull out after losing to Burton recently. I'm guessing he didn't fight because a replacement couldn't be found in time. Anyone know when the return might be?

Talking of heavyweight returns, a Southern area notice on the bbbc's website states "Keith Long...Reinstatement of Boxer’s Licence – Recommended."

I'm presuming that for the board to recommend reinstatement of a license, this means that the boxer has asked for it to be reinstated. Does this mean the return of Long along with Ellis?

Hope so with Skelton moving on past the British level, Gammer needs a few decent challengers. Long would certainly be that.

Matt was orginally due to fight Istvan Kecskes, as said earlier, but he got cut against Chris Burton - hence he couldnt fight.

They brought in Chris Woolas, who was making his comeback after time out of the ring, but he didnt get his brain scan documents to the board in time.

PJ has told me he may put him on the Dudley show on the 26th October.
