Round-by-Round: Moses Itauma vs. Filip Hrgovic - 29 August 2026
Re: Round-by-Round: Moses Itauma vs. Filip Hrgovic - 29 August 2026
That's what happens when a novice heavyweight fights a true mature world rated contender.
That has to be ranked as one of the best heavyweight fights in recent times.

Damn it was a step too far.
Moses by far the better boxer but the required endurance for a 12 round fight is some way off at this stage.

Give Hrg his props. Did what he said he'd do. Delighted for him.
Anyone else think Itauma is done? How the fook does he come back? His stamina is shocking. And every opponent knows it now.

Script ripped up!!

Disgustingly biased commentary
Fell into Hrgovic's trap. Smart game plan. Use his durability to take him long.
Moses has been exposed imo. He's flashy for 3-4 rounds like Josh Kelly and others.
Failed the step up.

Yes. How about slow down and let’s win this on points? the guys got a f*cking chin of ironHeldenjaeger wrote: ↑29 Aug 2026, 18:37Out of ideas? Itauma was exhausted in round three, I'm surprised he even made it that far.MightyWarrior wrote: ↑29 Aug 2026, 18:35 Shocker
Ben Davidson hopelessly out of ideas, but somehow fumbles the towel in slightly late as usual

The commentary is so biased you could make an argument that it is discriminatory

Not the end of Moses, big jump up in class and not many rounds under his belt. Maybe similar to Haye getting stopped by Thompson.
Re: Round-by-Round: Moses Itauma vs. Filip Hrgovic - 29 August 2026
He's got a lot of natural talent still no doubt. Pacing yourself, and stamina are issues that can be improved. It's a tough loss for him, but it's not something that completely spells doom for his career or Championship hopes I don't think. Though obviously sets them back at least 2 or 3 years I'd think.

Only stuck 20 on the stoppage at 9/1. Would've done more but Foster
