Heavyweight Division - The Next 18 Months

Post by Taansend »

IBF - Hrgovic has to fight Sanchez but doesn't want to. He wants Kabayal.

WBC - Kabayal can fight anyone. The WBC top 10 are Fury, Okolie, Itauma, Hrgovic, AJ, Sanchez, Wilder, Verhoeven, Ajagba & Riakporhe.

WBA - Gassiev. Is he fighting Big Baby Miller next?

WBO - Dubois v Wardley rematch in October.

Also we'll get the AJ Fury bollocks at MSG.

Hopefully, we can see some unification fights next year. Itauma will be back but not til 2028, I think. He needs a year of rebuilding.

It would be great if Kabayal & Hrgovic had a fight in a Croatian castle or something.

If Dubois gets past Wardley again who do you see him fighting?

After his loss to Usyk I thought Gassiev was going to do great at Heavyweight but he's been too stop start since then.

Hrgovic will probably lose to Sanchez if he has to fight him.

Gassiev will lose his title the first time he fights a Top 10 contender or possibly even Top 20 contender.

Dubois vs Wardley will be another fun slugfest, and we'll all be looking forward to what the winner of that does next. I hope it's Wardley, I don't think it will be, but I hope so.

Agit Kabayel vs Rico Verhoeven, Tyson Fury, AJ, Wilder or any of the other titleholders all works for me.

Usyk I suspect it's gonna be Wilder. Any day now with that announcement.

I suspect that Kabayel will defend against cans, starting with Hysa, until the winner of Fury/Joshua next year.

Sanchez up next for Hrgovic. Miller up next for Gassiev.

Would be good to see Jalolov get a shot or atleast fight an eliminator against someone good. Ajagba is probably the next most worthy guy who hasn't had a shot yet.

Riakporhe is ranked with a lot of orgs and the fact they interviewed him yesterday suggests Frank wants him to fight for a belt soons. I suspect he could be next for the WBO.

Not really anyone else that interesting that's ranked. Hovhannisyan is interesting but likely not got enough to win a belt. Parker could be recycled again as he's still up there really. Itauma will get another chance at some point. Huni could pick up a few wins and get chosen as a voluntary.
