When growling Smith made his Vianello tennis family comment, I left in disgust and switched to the Polish commentary. This was fine for a while but I thought I heard them apologising for the language in the corner during the Ursu/Vaughan. Can't be sure as I can't speak a word of Polish.

This however sent me over to the Croatian commentary where I stayed for the rest of the night. It was pleasant, relaxed and non intrusive. There was no screaming, no voice cracking, no take off for AJ.

It's unlikely to be an option for most fights, it will have only been there due to Hrgovic fighting. Maybe it's a good thing, as once up there it's there to be shot at. I'm happy for it to be just a one dip and end it occurrence, a glorious moment where the stars aligned and the world was at peace. No longer diagonally parked in a horizontal commentary universe, blissfully unaware of their existence and the fight in front of me doing the talking
Do you speak / understand Croatian?

In more relatively recent times, Darke and Watt were the best combo IMO. As far as presenters are concerned, I like Anna Woolhouse, Ade Oladipo is fine, Jim Rosenthal is one of sport's great all rounders. They are basically there just to not trip over the furniture and ask questions.

I think Barry Jones, Frampton and Barker are good. Adam Smith, bless him, deserves a lot of the stick he gets. He just simply can't read a fight, growls incessantly and just repeats what the co-comm just said. And I think the fact he awarded himself the job of commentator on Sky still sticks in people's throats.
