I have always been high on Hrgovic , but I often see him under estimated in boxing forums etc.

Even in beating Itauma its all about Itauma and not about Hrgovics, skills set.

As David Haye said in recent video people who know boxing knew what a warrior Hrgovic is and that Hrgovic for long time never with big promoter so he had to fight all the people that other fighters didn't want to fight..

I get it Hrgovic not Usyk level, but still damned solid top level boxer glad he got a piece of the title and hopefully some paydays before he retires.

Hrgovic didn't display any particularly developed skill set. He was tough and he kept applying pressure.

He couldn't even land a flush KO blow on a man who was literally about to faint in front of him, and had both hands down at his sides.

Congratulations to him indeed, but he's one of the most beatable Heavyweight titleholders there's ever been and will be relieved of his title before the end of 2027 almost certainly.

If Hrgovic lost imagine the derision that would be put on him. Hrgovic is a warrior I could see that all the way back to WSB fights against Joe Joyce, Hrgovic won Bronze Medal in Olympics, Has only lost 1 fight on cuts to the guy who I believe is the best heavy weight on the planet Daniel Dubois. Hrgovic is 21-1 with 16 ko's. Very good record.

As David Haye said Hrgovic never had a big promoter someone watching out for him so he had to fight all the guys that no one else wanted to fight a warrior. A warrior who sparred with David Haye and Wilder when Hrgovic was 21 years old.

I am happy for Hrgovic like to see him get a few good paydays and get out of the game.

Hrgovic is big 6'6 can take a punch has very good jab.

Just decent right hand not one punch ko right hand this is really one of his weaknesses, has decent legs can move , left hook pretty lame and doesn't work body well, although in this last fight against Itauma I saw him work body better, and do almost a Lomachenko pivot to get an angle on Itauma twice which was a new wrinkle.

Able Sanchez is the difference , even if Able doesn't teach Hrgovic new defensive techniques he gets Hrgovic into great shape and comes with a plan and is in Hrgovic corner makes all the difference in the world.

Hrgovic career would be already over without Able Sanchez.

They say boxing is about timing, and? Many people thought this fight was great timing for Moses Itauma 'in a fight stylistically which appeared to be very winnable for him'.

Note: But what people underestimated? Was that if you really think about it 'Filip Hrgovic at this stage of his career, most likely knew this was a opportunity he had to take NOW. Hrgovic may well be in the latter stages of his career, and win or lose he has been involved in many brutal fights. Which have given him experience, and most likely prepared him for the early bombardment from Itauma which he had to endure'.

Filip Hrgovic is not the most skilled heavyweight fighter of all time 'and his entire game is just being able to turn the fight into a battle of attrition and to then out endure his opponent at top level'.

I think fighters such as Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua 'even at this stage of their careers, would be able to win rounds against him consistently. I would not back Hrgovic to be a Heavyweight Champion for very long'.

That is why for me? Filip Hrgovic deserves big credit for his win 'he was brought to Great Britain to get smashed up by Itauma. But all of those plans backfired, because Filip Hrgovic execute his fight'.

I see people in the media saying things like? Hrgovic was losing every single round 'maybe so on the score cards. But? All of those rounds were gradually eroding and depleting Moses Itauma. From round 3 onwards, this was very clear'.

So, yes Congratulations 'Great fight and win for Filip Hrgovic' etc.

Remember Zeljko Mavrovic who fought Lennox in 98, he was from Zagreb too.
Hrgo gets it across the line
