Thomas Hearns vs. Antonio Cervantes

15 Rounds Welterweight Bout

If Cervantes decided to jump to welterweight to challenge Thomas "The Hitman" Hearns, Kid Pambele would be overwhelmed by Hearns' long quick left jabs and right hands as the Hitman would put Cervantes out in 5 rounds. What do you guys think and who do you got?

Cervantes isn't gonna be strong enough for Hearns. His best bet here would be if this happened when Hearns was still relatively inexperienced, and he could simply outcraft him, but if you're talking about Welterweight Champion Tommy Hearns or even a few fights away from that, he's gonna be too much for Cervantes.

If light-hitting great Wilfred Benitez almost knocked Antonio Cervantes out in San Juan, Puerto Rico, what would a guy with a tremendous punching power like the great Thomas The Hitman Hearns would do?

I don't think that Cervantes could beat Pipino Cuevas.

Hearns by knockout in 7.

Plus, Antonio Cervantes ain't risking it. The only way he could beat Tommy Hearns is by using a lot of pressure. Cervantes is not a pressure fighter.
