kevin anderson v colin mcneil

Post by duck »

when is this bout happening, this is the match everybody in scotland wants to see,i think mcneil will beat any welterweight in the country easily at the moment seen him spar recently and he was awesome,
really refreshing website this where everyone is allowed to air there views,
there is a scottish website where if you stray from the party line you are censured
they had a petition in support of Dr McKay signed by the only people allowed to post on their website,
which certainly does not reflect the views of the large majority of scottish coaches,
but the rest of us are not allowed to post as we are not in agreement with them, what a waste of a forum

Anderson v Mcneil would be a good one, but Ando would win. Mcneil would lose this on work rate alone, and he doesn't have the power to bother Kev. If Muttley couldn't stop Ando, Mcneil isn't for sure. The fight will never happen cause Colin aint beaten anybody apart from Gary Young, and Gary was well over-rated. I do rate Colin though, think he'd certainly be in the top 5 welters in britian, but he wouldn't beat Anderson.

Anderson v Ali next isnt it ?? Should be a good scrap, although much like Femi, I think Ali will need to improve his punch power to go beyond domestic.

I think McNeil is Anderson's British Mandatory, so the fight does have a good chance of happening.

No, Colin isn't the mandatory challenger. His fight with Gary was an eliminator, but not a final eliminator, he would need to be matched against a top ten fighter first of all. Would be a sell out fight though, no problem.

So when is Anderson fitting in his commonwealth defence against Nuumbembe? I thought that was planned for December.

I have to say, I'd like to see Anderson kept busy. I do get the feeling that he improves with every fight, and given his age I think he should be fighting 3 or 4 times a year at least, just to build a name for himself, much like Hatton did. I don't begrudge him a rest after the Mutley fight, because that was a tough one, but surely his handlers should have him in the public eye more often, because he could make a real name for himself with his style. Until Moore-Macklin, Anderson-Mutley was, for my money, the British fight of the year.

I heard Kev wasn't needing the rest, he's been raring to go but didn't have a fight arranged, or should I say Tommy Gilmour didn't have a fight arranged. Yeah, I heard as well that Kev was to challenge for the Euro title but didn't think that guy was champ either, strange one. Pretty sure Colin Mcneil will not be on Kevs radar, he's got bigger fish to fry I hear.

Klose is the EBU champion. Bonsu is, or at least was, his mandatory.

Trabant had the EU title, but I'm presuming he's been stripped after testing +ve for roids.

What is the more "wanted" title, EU or EBU? Never really understood that one, clue me in. Didn't realise Trabant had been caught using gear, what a clown. Do you know when Jackson is meant to fight for the title?

The EBU is the best one. The EU is just for European Union Countries. Basically it was invented to stopp the eastern Europeans nicking all the titles, I think. It's a bit like their Intercontinental version.

Cheers for that! I heard that Kev Anderson would be fighting Jackson Bonsu in Feb for the EBU , if Jackson won it, but also heard Jackson Bonsu doesn't fight for the title until April so it sounds as if someone is telling porkies, mmm Tommy Gilmour?

Post by duck »

top boxer has obviously never watched the spars between kevin and colin i have watched them on plenty of occasions over the years and have yet to see kevin coming out on top and the present day mcneil is a vastly different prospect from the amateur mcneil he is much much stronger faster and more powerfull than he has ever been in his life if you dont beleive me ask kevin anderson or barry morrison, mcneil will knock out kevin,or numbembe,or docherty or minter ,watch this space

Is that right, who are you? Unless your Pat Tonner (Mcneils trainer) I don't know how you could have seen them sparring recently cause I've been to everyone of them, and there was no-one else there??? You say that you've yet to see Kev get the better of Colin in a spar, is that including the times Colins stopped sparring cause his eye brows have been burst open? Colin gets nothing but respect from me, but I tell you what, even he knows that an Anderson fight would the toughest one he could take. So, unless you are Colins trainer, stop with the rumours cause Colin and Kev are the best of pals, and I'm the two of them would be unhappy with it. Time will tell who the better guy is if Colin gets himself into a position to go for Kevs title. :TU:

Actually pal, I've have seen them sparring this year, up at Buckhaven, and Colin got stiffened in my book, so your argument kind of falls flat on its puss  You say Colin would knock out Anderson, Numbembe etc, is this the same Colin that has knocked out 2 guys  So he couldn't KO the run of the mill journeumen such as Duncan Cottier, Matt Scrivens, Geraint Harvey, Leeroy Williams, who get stopped by nearly everyone they fight, but he'll K.O Anderson and Numbembe???? :-? Yeah Ok  Your obviously a BIG Mcneil fan, fair enough, he's good, but Anderson would tear him up, fact :TU:
