Harley Benn v Joe Laws | DAZN - 12 September 2026

Post by MasterG »

The forgotten one, Harley Benn returns in a Misfit Boxing event in Newcastle against Joe Laws.

Can't see Benn beating Laws to be honest.

Jade Jones will face the delicious slap champion Sheena Bathory on the same event.

So we’ve got McCann vs Big Stacks as the main event, with Big Stacks getting sucker punched again yesterday by presumably a friend of McCann’s. Hopefully that doesn’t mean another body shots- only fight.

Speaking of which, “Armz” will be squaring off against Kelz the guy he was having a row with in the ring right after he beat Stacks last time.

Jade Jones is fighting Bathory the power slap competitor who swatted that hopeless Irish girl last time.

Oh and Harley Benn.

I’m surprised to see Ibiza boss going anywhere near a boxing ring again after that previous ordeal with McCann. I’d estimate it took about 3 days before he had the strength to open his eyes past half way. He was shattered.

When I'm at a loose end, as tonight. The Mrs watching athletics, I love to go through boxers records. As Benn is fighting tomorrow night on the MF show, I looked through the records of who he beat.

Honestly it's great to see how he's progressed from the guys he beat and how they have got on after facing Benn.

I'm 57 years old and I think I'd have a decent chance against him. If I got super fit.

That Misfits press conference yesterday FFS and then the weigh in earlier. Absolute circus.

Jade Johnson having to pause answering questions due to Kelz and Armz suddenly reigniting their beef in the middle of it, had me chuckling.

BTW Kelz is a chiselled 288lbs WTF that can’t be right surely.

I hate to admit it but they’ve got me a little bit intrigued with this card, somehow.

The weight divisions are a bit odd, certainly the womens anyway. There’s a “featherweight” fight at 122lbs, then later a “super middleweight” fight at….. 135.

I'll be watching it tomorrow. I'm only interested in the jade Jones fight as I like her opponent. Sheena Bathory is more known as a slap fighter, and fornicate me they do take some slaps to the cheeks

I want to see Benn fight too because he's effing useless and only began using the name Benn when he started fighting.

I kind of feel sorry for Harley because it seems his dad had no input in his life. I sort of think he only started boxing because he was a Benn. I don't know why he began a boxing career because he wasn't any good in the art. Was he trying to win his dad's love? I don't know his educational background or how he earns his money but I can relate to him in some respects.

I know nothing about his opponent Joe Laws, who makes his debut tomorrow night, but you do not have to know much about boxing to beat Benn.

I don't know, and I'm sure Harley doesn't know who he really is, or his identity.

It makes me sad just typing this, Ahh fornicate off G you ain't no moralist.

He isn't the worst, but he only had any traction because of his name and his backstory likely messes him up a bit as his mum was a stripper who had an affair with Nigel and he allegedly wasnt that nice to her.

Nathaniel Banks Wilson was moderately ok, again the backstory is more of a selling point. Wilson seemed really up for it at least

Joe Laws is a right moron, not even particularly well supported in Newcastle aside from similarly minded knackers from the West End

Laws boxed for Birtley and got to an ABA semi final I think( might have been a final). He’s light years in front of Benn in experience.

I quite like him! He's a complete chav, but sort of totally unashamed. He was boxing in the club above where my daughter dances and he actuslly seems alright. I popped in a couple of times. I think he knows what he is and runs with it.

He generally gets easily outboxed, despite his amatuer pedigree. But i think this Benn is total shit?

Harley lost to a 0-16 journeyman. That journeyman is now 2-91, including the Harley win.

His over opponents records are interesting too after Harley taught them a lesson.
