So WTF happened to the Clones Collosus?

Out of the ring over a year after his biggest win and comes back to a hammering! he should have springboarded his career after that win instead of letting it all gop to waste. Who the hell advises these young fella's.

McBride is a very minor boxing talent with extremely dubious punch resistance. He evidently wasn't able to cash in and land a title shot after his Tyson gift. Talk of Valuev/Brewster/Liyakovitch came to nowt (all of whom would've dispatched him inside 3) and he thus had nowhere to go to make decent money.

Hence he fought a distinctly average fighter and was mullered.

He could still probably get a tanking from the Skelton-Harrison loser but other than that he is back to his rightful place, top of the conference league of heavyweights, kayoing manual labourers and getting found out anytime he steps out of his (very) limited class.

I remember him getting done by Michael Murray at the Elephant & Castle Leisure Centre a few years ago.

The writing was on the wall even back then.

I remember the Luis Monaco defeat and Gary Mason was pretty much taking the piss out of Barry for hyping the lad up. Barry got quite defensive and talked about McBride's lack of self confidence said he was just trying to boost him..... Although, Barry knew he wasn't domestic class even.

I remember him turning pro with Frank Maloney.

I read about this young giant of a fighter from Monaghan. I was excited and had high hopes...

...until I saw him fight.
