Islam. The growing problem. What can or should be done?
I think it's clear to one and all that the growth of Islam in Western societies is slowly becoming a problem. There doesn't seem to be a way to co-exist with these people because they refuse to adapt or conform to the society they enter. From setting up parallel societies, to calling for Sharia Law to be installed, to not adapting to the culture and society they have arrived in, it's clear Muslims have no desire to adapt to Western society. They want to change it to fit their belief systems and want everyone else to become Muslims like them.
So what should be done in your opinion before they take over and radically change the Western countries they are in? If something isn't done I foresee civil war in many of these Western countries in the near future.

Re: Islam. The growing problem. What can or should be done?
Much of what we see in the media about Muslims is propaganda.
In my own neighborhood, there are many Muslims, and they are decent, honest, hard-working people who pose no threat to me or to my country. The stereotype is a lie. Most Muslims over here do not go by Sharia Law. In fact most Muslims in the world do not follow that harsh Hadith. They go by the Quran, same as most Christians do not follow the harsh laws in Leviticus, we instead go by the New Testament.
99% of Muslims are just ordinary people LIKE OURSELVES trying to live their lives, trying to fit in, and trying to make a living.

Re: Islam. The growing problem. What can or should be done?
I don't believe that shit. 99% my ass.
They won't pose a threat until they become the majority. There are many Imams in Muslim communities calling for Sharia law to be installed even though it clearly contravenes the Constitutions of the countries they are in. They act all friendly when they are a minority but the second they become the majority they will try to change the laws to fit their agenda. In Texas they have set up Sharia courts and a parallel society.
Many of the countries around the Middle East were Christian countries at one time. What happened to them? What happened to Egypt that was a Coptic Christian nation? What happened to Lebanon, Syria and the Byzantine Empire, which was in what is now modern Turkey? What happened to Albania?
There were no Muslims in Iran at one time. Iran was a Zoroastrian nation with their own ancient religion which predates Judaism as the father of Monotheism. What happened to them?
Why does Pakistan exist? How did Islam end up in India?
Don't fool yourself. Islam's goal is to convert everyone to Islam. It's in the Quran.

Christians historically have usually been tolerated and treated fairly by Muslims, with the exception of Mamluks, Ottomans and Pakistanis. Most of what was Ottoman Europe remained majority Christian despite Ottoman occupation, despite being more heavily taxed (Croatia, Romania, Greece, Bulgaria, Serbia), and Spain remained majority Christian during several centuries of Arab occupation.Baby Face Finster wrote: ↑24 Sep 2026, 16:47 I don't believe that shit. 99% my ass.

When Saladin took Jerusalem, he didn't kill the Christians. And, he permitted Christian pilgrims to continue coming to the city.
Assad protected Christians in Syria, and even celebrated Christmas with them. They suffered no discrimination or persecution until the lunatic Wahhabis from Al Qaeda took over, thanks to American involvement. Now they are suffering.
In Iran, Christians are represented in the government, as are Jews.
Do you hate Muslims? You are using a lot of Islamophobic tropes. In reality, there is no Muslim conspiracy to take over America.

I don't see that at all. It doesn't describe any Muslim I know, nor do I see Muslims at large in the US advocating for anything any more nutty than what evangelical Christians do.Baby Face Finster wrote: ↑24 Sep 2026, 15:53 I think it's clear to one and all that the growth of Islam in Western societies is slowly becoming a problem. This is all irrelevant. Once they become the majority, they make the lives of non-Muslims a living hell. Proof: treatment of religious minorities in Muslim-majority countries.Perkin Warbeck wrote: ↑24 Sep 2026, 16:35 Much of what we see in the media about Muslims is propaganda.

Re: Islam. The growing problem. What can or should be done?
Look at the places in England that have a large population of the Muslim community, they are by and large shitholes this isn’t a coincidence.
Re: Islam. The growing problem. What can or should be done?
I didn’t find any statistics on the percentage of the Muslim population in Europe for 2026, so the figures in the last column are only projections. And no, I didn’t double-check them:
France 9.1% (2020) ----- ~9–10%
Germany ~7% (2020) --------- ~7–8%
UK ~6.4% (2020) ----------------~6.5–7%
Austria ~8% (2020) --------- ~8–9%
Belgium ~6% (2020) --------- ~6–7%
Netherlands ~5–6% (2020) ------~6–7%
Switzerland ~5–6% (2020) ------ ~6%
Sweden 8% (2020) --------- ~8–9%
Italy ~4% (2020) ------------ ~4–5%
Spain ~4% (2020) ----------------~4–5%
Denmark ~5% (2020) ----------- ~5–6%
Norway ~4% (2020) --------- ~4–5%
Ireland ~2% (2020) ------------ ~3%
Portugal ~1% (2020) --------------~1–2%
Finland ~1–2% (2020) ----------------~2%
Greece ~5–6% (2020) -------- ~5–6%
Luxembourg ~2–3% (2020) -------- ~3%
Re: Islam. The growing problem. What can or should be done?
Wales — 2.15% (2021 official census); approximately ~2.3–2.5% in 2026 as a rough projection.
Scotland — 2.2% (2022 official census); roughly ~2.3–2.5% could be a 2026 estimate, but there is no official 2026 figure.
England — 6.7% (2021 official census); roughly ~7–7.5% in 2026 as a projection.
Ireland — 1.6% (2022 official census); roughly ~1.7–1.9% could be a 2026 projection, but there is no official 2026 figure.
Northern Ireland is part of the UK and had its own 2021 census, where the Muslim share was much lower, around 0.6%.

Re: Islam. The growing problem. What can or should be done?
I'm not advocating or calling for any type of violence or Holocaust against anyone. I do think that the Constitution of any Western country has to be followed to the letter of the law though and anyone who breaks it needs to be seriously punished.
I am against any religion gaining state control. My number one political philosophy is the separation of Church and State. No if ands or buts on that point. It's non negotiable with me. Anyone who refuses to follow the laws of the country they are in or contravenes the rules of the Constitution should be jailed or if they weren't born in the country deported. If you don't like or refuse to follow the Constitution of the country you are in then move to a country whose Constitution you do like.

Isn't that also Christianity's goal? At least I can tell you exactly where it is in the Bible Matthew 28:20
Isn't that exactly how Christianity has affected America? Imagine being told who you can or can't marry, what you can do with your body all because America strives to be a "Christian Nation"
Saying majority Muslim people want Sharia Law is equivalent to saying majority of Christians want Jim Crow Laws.
Re: Islam. The growing problem. What can or should be done?
Doesn't Christianity have state and federal control right now or does that not qualify as a religion?Baby Face Finster wrote: ↑Yesterday, 08:36I'm not advocating or calling for any type of violence or Holocaust against anyone. They do? Where? Not in Canada they don't. We have separation of Church and State in Canada. The Church does not call the shots on policy. That's why we have women and gay rights and also abortion rights though there are some politicians who would like to change that. There is no compulsory religious study and businesses have the right to open on Sundays. That doesn't sound like Christianity has control of anything and rightly so. Everyone has the right to practice their religion as long as it doesn't infringe on the rights of those that aren't in that religion.IKSRTFO wrote: ↑Yesterday, 09:52Doesn't Christianity have state and federal control right now or does that not qualify as a religion?Baby Face Finster wrote: ↑Yesterday, 08:36I'm not advocating or calling for any type of violence or Holocaust against anyone. Re: Islam. The growing problem. What can or should be done?
It is the same in the US by Constitutional design but Protestant Christianity has way more influence (see: Texas and the South) in the US. I remember seeing Christian prayers before every government meeting in the South (Republican- and Democratic-led governments) and Texas in particular has made a strong push for more Protestant religion in public schools. You almost can't run for higher office in the US without pledging allegiance to guns and God. And Republicans and some Democrats running for higher office repeat over-and-over that the US was founded as a Christian nation. The Muslim population is reglatively small and there would be blood in the streets anywhere in the US if anyone started seriously pushing Sharia Law, so I think that is a red herring drummed up by Fox News and the conservative media. At least in the US.Baby Face Finster wrote: ↑Yesterday, 11:44They do? Where? Not in Canada they don't. We have separation of Church and State in Canada. The Church does not call the shots on policy. Re: Islam. The growing problem. What can or should be done?
Islam by its nature is a theocratic political ideology. It will allow all the freedoms of the Western tradition to embed itself, attain soft power and dismiss any scrutiny and criticism of it, and its extreme elements, as a new form of racism. Usually with the most aggressive of actions and words.
When people of other faiths come to the West they generally assimilate whilst maintaining some semblance of their religio/national heritage. There are no Sikh or Hindu voting block being guided by an over riding theocratic political agenda.
