Fisher wouldn't have lasted the 12 despite it being fixed

Re: Johnny Fisher vs. Michael Pirotton | Sky Sports - 26 September 2026
Very low levle, but an entertaining clownish fight.
Fisher landed the more meaningfull work, I’d have him winning on points medium wide to wide.
Two ways to look at this for fisher… good rounds, but looked awful. Probably helps him improve a bit but also hurts his reputation as a credible fighter (which was thin)…
Fisher vs Whyte December 11 makes sense as a low quality but fun heavyweight undercard fight. Is it too soon? I don’t think so, that was tireing but the Belgium wasn’t throwing hard shots.

Yeah I did think the score would be interesting.
One judge had a draw and one only had it by a point.
Piroton was landing a lot of shots that weren’t appreciated because they had nothing on them.

Are people going to pay to watch this Fisher stuff moving forward? Surely he's losing money now for the higher ups, can't imagine his base is as big as it was.

Also, his uni fan base he built early days… there growing up… a lot easier to drag some 22 year olds out on a big night out than some 27 year olds…. And that’s only going to get worse.TheLeprechaun wrote: ↑26 Sep 2026, 18:42 Are people going to pay to watch this Fisher stuff moving forward? Fisher is going nowhere. If he steps up a little bit he'll get ironed out quickly.
Re: Johnny Fisher vs. Michael Pirotton | Sky Sports - 26 September 2026
Definitely not.
I feel like heavyweight fighters nearly collapsing through exhaustion went away for a while after Price but we’ve had Clarke against TKV, Itauma against Hrgovic & Fisher tonight.
Re: Johnny Fisher vs. Michael Pirotton | Sky Sports - 26 September 2026
A slight step up and Fisher will be looking up at the lights again
Re: Johnny Fisher vs. Michael Pirotton | Sky Sports - 26 September 2026
I think Fisher will take a long break now. It’d be crazy for him to fight so soon. December 11th suggests they expected an easy win tonight.gregregegg wrote: ↑26 Sep 2026, 18:40 Very low levle, but an entertaining clownish fight.

I think fisher is trash and I’d have him favorite at this point (with good drug testing)… I have a hunch that Whyte is now incredibly incredibly bad.Heldenjaeger wrote: ↑26 Sep 2026, 18:42Fisher is trash and Whyte is going to take him out early.gregregegg wrote: ↑26 Sep 2026, 18:40Fisher vs Whyte December 11 makes sense as a low quality but fun heavyweight undercard fight. I would at least have it 50-50… (for context I’d have chisora a masssive favorite vs fisher and chisora is as weathered as they get)
Re: Johnny Fisher vs. Michael Pirotton | Sky Sports - 26 September 2026
Whyte looked extremely shot against Tetteh 2 years ago, so it is possible he's past it enough for Fisher to beat him.Heldenjaeger wrote: ↑26 Sep 2026, 18:42Fisher is trash and Whyte is going to take him out early.gregregegg wrote: ↑26 Sep 2026, 18:40Fisher vs Whyte December 11 makes sense as a low quality but fun heavyweight undercard fight. However even if that were the case, it's clear from tonight that he's got a lot of work to do to even get up to British title level. Which will be his absolute peak imo.

I don’t think anyone is suggesting that date I am. It is soon, but I don’t think fisher took more damage there than a lot of fighters take sparring. He just got tired. (I could be wrong and you would obviously wanna check up on him over the next bit to be sure of that)a force wrote: ↑26 Sep 2026, 18:48I think Fisher will take a long break now. Fisher Vs Jolley?
Re: Johnny Fisher vs. Michael Pirotton | Sky Sports - 26 September 2026
Pirotton did look to be pulling his punches.
Either that or he is the most pillow fisted heavyweight I've ever seen in a main event.
Fisher just hasn't got better, at all.
I expected a journey of constant improvement as he can enjoy boxing as his full time job. I didn't mind him losing to Dave Allen the first time, Dave is hard to shift and quite dangerous if he fancies it.
But he's not improving. Tonight's opposition was a level of two below Dave Allen, but Johnny made it seem like a war, when it should have been a minor skirmish.

Some of the undercard fights were good.

It probably sounds harsh but I'd consider jacking it in if I were him before he gets hurt.
Re: Johnny Fisher vs. Michael Pirotton | Sky Sports - 26 September 2026
he can probably carry on earning half decent paydays at last nights level, step up a bit and he'd getting flattended Dave Allen style again.Fearful_Freddie wrote: ↑27 Sep 2026, 04:21 It probably sounds harsh but I'd consider jacking it in if I were him before he gets hurt.
Re: Johnny Fisher vs. Michael Pirotton | Sky Sports - 26 September 2026
I correctly predicted eight of the nine fight results on the event, including the method of victory in five.
Even though I predicted Johnny Fisher would win last night, I really wanted Michael Pirotton to cause an upset.
Unfortunately, the Belgian is feather-fisted. But if he had slightly heavier hands, then I think he would have stopped Fisher.
In my view, ‘The Romford Bull’ has shown no signs of improvement over the past three years.
I also do not consider Fisher a big puncher. For sure, he’s capable of stopping journeymen and perhaps one or two badly shot veterans, but he will struggle against any reasonably competitive domestic-level opposition.
I expect Fisher’s handlers to protect him with the lowest-risk fights against journeymen and veterans until a big-money opportunity allows them to eventually cash in on their investment.
Johnny Fisher is too old to improve his boxing skills significantly. He lacks stamina, which means he’s basically a five-round fighter, and he also lacks the one-punch knockout power needed to compensate for his many limitations and turn likely defeats into wins.
He has already reached his ceiling and, at best, is a top-15 UK domestic level fighter.
