Even though I predicted Johnny Fisher would win last night, I really wanted Michael Pirotton to cause an upset.

Unfortunately, the Belgian is feather-fisted. But if he had slightly heavier hands, then I think he would have stopped Fisher.

In my view, ‘The Romford Bull’ has shown no signs of improvement over the past three years.

I also do not consider Fisher a big puncher. For sure, he’s capable of stopping journeymen and perhaps one or two badly shot veterans, but he will struggle against any reasonably competitive domestic-level opposition.

I expect Fisher’s handlers to protect him with the lowest-risk fights against journeymen and veterans until a big-money opportunity allows them to eventually cash in on their investment.

Johnny Fisher is too old to improve his boxing skills significantly. He lacks stamina, which means he’s basically a five-round fighter, and he also lacks the one-punch knockout power needed to compensate for his many limitations and turn likely defeats into wins.

He has already reached his ceiling and, at best, is a top-15 UK domestic level fighter.

It appears that people are prepared to pay to see him headlining events fighting against other people of his relatively low level, so no reason to pack it in until that isn't true any more as he's no more likely to get hurt fighting the likes of Piritton than he would be if he was much better and fighting much better people. Just don't go fighting anyone good.

From what people are reporting about last night, the arena was not packed and parts curtained off. After his recent performances, the wheels have come off the Fisher hype train. The so called bosh army are not gonna want to buy tickets to substandard matches. They probably naively thought he would get to world level or at least get in some major fights. Now he’s reached his level I can’t see his popularity lasting and his ticket sales will dwindle. Fighting Whyte might up interest and if he won they can thrown him into a half decent British fight so there’s still money to be made potentially…. But I’m not very hopeful

Whyte v Fisher would be an interesting shoot out as neither can last long , might get a bit of money for Zuffa

Some of the undercard fights were good.
agreed. I watched the first three on YouTube and was entertained. seemed more even than the usual can vs prospect bilge we normally see
I've seen a few of these now and the fights are pretty much all evenly matched.
Not many knock over jobs or complete weight mismatches that you see every time on Matchroom or Queensbury cards.
Zuffa are doing something right.

Their shows a pretty good, for a Copper Box that was fine. They have a lot of boxers on the roster. A lot at early stages and we could see a huge stable of high level guys in a year or two.
Have a look, it's pretty impressive for sheer numbers, but there are a few odd signings.

It’s an interesting fight but of no real value. I’d still watch it though

Yes, thats why I think boxing fans will prefer Zuffa. For example they had Rogelio Romero vs Ignat on the prelims. It was a good fight for both guys. Both of them will improve for the fight. I thought Romero would outclass him but he got caught and hurt himself which is a good lesson to tighten up your defence. Ignat gave a good account of himself against a guy with a much higher amateur pedigree. You don't see these types of fights on Wazza/Hearn cards usually. It's usually a full card of favourites ranging between 1/100 to 1/10 odds.

So far, between Benn, Richards and Fisher, all were nicked from Match room for serious money.

Benn and Richards got beat, Fisher as good as
