Yep, absolutely shocking refereeing
Re: Ben Whittaker vs. Conor Wallace | DAZN - 3 October 2026
Every one of those times when Whittaker fell into Wallace, and then went down should've been a knockdown. He would fall into him trying to hold him, and he was so unsteady he'd fall down when he did it. That happened about 4 times.
At least 1 or 2 of 'em should've been a knockdown when he was obviously hurt and trying to buy time. Maybe wouldn't have been enough still even if they had been called a knockdown, but Wallace had him hurt no doubt.

Dazn are horrendous. They are classing it as a boxed ticked now for Ben. Too easy for him...
Re: Ben Whittaker vs. Conor Wallace | DAZN - 3 October 2026
Wallace will be kicking himself there. Also shows Whittaker limits at the higher level.

Is that a box ticked for Ben Whittaker? - Adam Smith 2026

How was that a 10-9 round… could have given a knockdown or 2 probably. But definatly could have taken a point or 2, you can’t just try tackle someone when your hurt.
That should have been a 10-7 round. Points or knockdowns take your pick.
Coms are still so positive how? Connor was never rocked, whiticker was rocked in around 10? And then nearly stopped in 12…

Hahaha nah, if you put it on him he's toast. There's your evidence.

He’s going nowhere.
The commentary is ridiculous. Praising Whittaker for wrestling Wallace to the ground

117-111 is insanity, ban him too.
Re: Ben Whittaker vs. Conor Wallace | DAZN - 3 October 2026
Barker talking about how things can turn in a split second.
The problem is Whitaker is not ready for 12 rounds, and may never will be.

“There’s so much to like about Ben Whittaker”
I can’t think of a single thing, perhaps he loves his mum?

I’ve nothing but admiration for Andy Lee but hopefully the comms will stop referring to the “Andy Lee kronk style” just because his charges occasionally KO hugely overmatched opponents
Re: Ben Whittaker vs. Conor Wallace | DAZN - 3 October 2026
Whittaker’s going nowhere. Any decent level fighter who can survive a few rounds will beat him up in the mid to late rounds.
I don’t know how that should be scored. I think there’s 3 knockdowns in the last round. I don’t know if others agree.
8-4 in rounds with a 10-6 in the last gives me 113-112 Whittaker.

"It was too easy". Okay, Ben. Andy Lee: "He had covid last week."
That's too much for me, goodnight.

Still a mega tallent… why? He is 29 and just got battered by a c grade guy. I had him wining 117-111 so nice and wide, but he still got battered, he won 9 lackluster rounds, and lost 3 wide rounds.
Well I would have actualy had it 115-111 (I’d of taken 2 points at the end there). And mega tallent 29 year olds don’t go 115-111 with c grade guys…

Bivol next then?
Re: Ben Whittaker vs. Conor Wallace | DAZN - 3 October 2026
So Whittaker's level is about this level.
I guess we know now.
At a certain point they can't micro manage his career and he gets ironed out.

Madness that they are acting like this was a decent fight and worth a rematch.

That would be my preference, cheeky warm up before taking on Bivol
