Ben Whittaker vs. Conor Wallace | DAZN - 3 October 2026
Re: Ben Whittaker vs. Conor Wallace | DAZN - 3 October 2026
Well it looks like we’re going to see a rematch.
Whitaker without COVID may walk through Wallace second time around.

118-110 Whittaker, his own passivness nearly cost him,.for 9 rounds he boringly made Wallace miss, he cut loose a few times, looked good but was meh until 10th Wallace hurt him and Whittaker was down 3 times in the 12th, whether they were knockdowns he was staggering, Whittaker has got the stones we seen that

Re: Ben Whittaker vs. Conor Wallace | DAZN - 3 October 2026
Why is anyone (except Connor) angling for a rematch.
Whiticker looked poor, Mabey they are just stalling cause they big fights for him are all aging? But if you wanna stall surly there are good fresh options.
Domestic light heavy has litraly 10 b/c grade names for whitticker to fight. All of them would be good opponents.
I’d like to see him fight yarde.

.... and correct. Which rounds did Wallace win?
Re: Ben Whittaker vs. Conor Wallace | DAZN - 3 October 2026
Why are they carrying on like it was one shot that got Whitaker in trouble, when he clearly ran out of steam.
Brown and Bellew sounding like a pair of plebs.

Why doesn't Ben work behind a stiff jab?
Re: Ben Whittaker vs. Conor Wallace | DAZN - 3 October 2026
Yarde should be a natural matchup, but Whittaker is clearly being protected, I doubt we'll see that fight until Yarde is completely cooked. 14 fights in and he's having to rematch Cameron and Wallace, says it all.gregregegg wrote: ↑03 Oct 2026, 18:28 Why is anyone (except Connor) angling for a rematch.

Nah, Yarde's a muscle bound hype job. Who's he beaten apart from Lyndon Arthur?Flump wrote: ↑03 Oct 2026, 18:34Yarde should be a natural matchup, but Whittaker is clearly being protected, I doubt we'll see that fight until Yarde is completely cooked. 14 fights in and he's having to rematch Cameron and Wallace, says it all.gregregegg wrote: ↑03 Oct 2026, 18:28 Why is anyone (except Connor) angling for a rematch.

FFS Bellew pushing the “Whitaker switched off” bollex.
Whitaker was absolutely knackered. End of.

What’s Bellew talking about?
Smith & Buatsi would batter Whittaker. They wouldn’t wait until the second half of the fight to put the pressure on.
And this 6 round nonsense? He isn’t winning a round against Bivol.
‘There’s no quit in Whittaker’, we all saw the Cameron fight!
And what’s with DAZN’s stats? They’ve got Lerrone Richards down as undefeated when he’s lost twice.
Pat Brown kept talking about the wrong fighter when the lead commentator set him up talking about one of the fighters too.
The coverage on DAZN is so, so bad.
Box~nation wasn’t as polished but the actual punditry & commentary was a million times better than this nonsense.

I'm talking about him fighting Ben Whittaker mate, not Kovalev, Beterbiev or Benavidez. He'd have a live chance against Whittaker.keithmoonhangover wrote: ↑03 Oct 2026, 18:38Nah, Yarde's a muscle bound hype job. Bellew now says Whittaker is two fights off being ready for Bivol?! He hasn’t proven he’s British level yet.
He quit against Cameron in the first fight & almost got stopped tonight at a lower level.
Brad Rea or Lyndon Arthur would be Whittaker’s best win.

Re: Ben Whittaker vs. Conor Wallace | DAZN - 3 October 2026
I think this is the single worst analysis of a fight/fighter.
What did we actualy just see. We just saw a 29 year old “prospect” (been pro 4 years, was boxing high levle jr amatures 10 years ago) win 9 nothing rounds vs a completly inactive c grade fighter… and get battered for a few rounds and nearly get stopped by the same c grade fighter. In fact Connor was doing so little it was impossible to win those first 9 rounds… basicaly the second Connor started fighting he hurt whitticker. So for while they were actualy fighting whitticker was getting battered…
The story should be “exposed”… instead there acting like he was actually too good and got bored… It’s fvcking wild.
Also “he can’t afford to switch off like that if he is ina round 10 with a beterbieve”… beterbieve would of showered changed and be having some post win vodka, and whitticker would be halfway to hospital by the time round 10 would be due…

Yarde's finished, Whittaker would get him out of there early IMO.Flump wrote: ↑03 Oct 2026, 18:40I'm talking about him fighting Ben Whittaker mate, not Kovalev, Beterbiev or Benavidez. How would you see Whittaker - Chelli going?
I think that’s a tough fight for Whittaker.
Chelli showed his toughness against Simpson & Morrell & showed he’s still game late into a fight.
My money would be on Chelli.

Zac Parker, Zac chilling, Craig Richard’s, Lyndon aurther, yarde, Ezra Taylor, Bradly rea, aziz, pitters, Leron Richard’s, Callum smith… all fights I’d rather see than the rematch. And honestly mostly fights that should of already happened…Flump wrote: ↑03 Oct 2026, 18:46Maybe, but i'd rather see that than a Wallace rematchkeithmoonhangover wrote: ↑03 Oct 2026, 18:43Yarde's finished, Whittaker would get him out of there early IMO.
skipping domestic levles sucks always… but doing it when there are just sooo many domestic names through all the learning levles you need… criminal.

I don’t want to be too harsh on him because he’s a bit of a novice at it but it was like he wasn’t even listening to his fellow commentator.rd350lc wrote: ↑03 Oct 2026, 18:59Brown was awful on comms.a force wrote: ↑03 Oct 2026, 18:39 What’s Bellew talking about?

I think it was round 8 Smith says ‘Wallace coming into it now’ (or words along them lines)
Then Brown proceeds to talk about how Whittaker was coming into it as if he’d not been on top most of the fight.

I fear they will avoid the domestic level and keep importing viable opponents, just none higher than the level we saw tonight.
And maybe even incentivised to lose.
Classic hype job trajectory.
The game plan is fairly clear, steer clear then put it on him after 4 rounds.

Whitaker is destined to feature in one or those viral 'showboater gets humiliated' videos.
Good.
I'm so fed up with hype jobs trying to meme themselves into world champions.

I thought the ref was tryna get the action straight back on in the last. He knew Wallace couldn’t win on points, no matter how many points off, so he tried not to waste any of the final seconds.
Is that a really bad read from me?
