I first saw him in Garth Meringhi's Dark Place in the early 2000's. I reckon that's your kind of thing, if you aren't familiar with it.Baby Face Finster wrote: ↑06 Oct 2026, 22:05Ayoade is one funny fucker. His deadpan humour never fails to make me laugh.

What's the latest with the inquiry into his finances?
Because I think there is going to be another by-election soon there because Farage will be in Miami grifting on their talk show circuit.
Probably why Burnham is angling for next April for a possible General Election - because Farage (Seymour from Rising Damp) will be gone!

It's a horror series parody. Garth Meringhi, a narcissistic (and awful) horror writer had a low budget series called 'Dark Place' commissioned in the 80's.Baby Face Finster wrote: ↑08 Oct 2026, 18:49I am not. The series never aired and was lost for some time. Meringhi got hold of the tapes and then was given a broadcasting slot. He introduces every episode.
It's weird, and quite unique. I loved it. Though when I first stumbled on it, it was about 1am after taking acid... Confused didn't cover it.

I used to think so but not after these Bond Villians have given him tens of millions, they will want a return on that money, they own him now, i doubt they would let him walk away, you dance with the devil you have to wait for the ride to stop.Carlos Slim wrote: ↑09 Oct 2026, 14:25Won't he just quit and leave politics this time?Nightmare Roy wrote: ↑09 Oct 2026, 13:23Pretty sure he'd win another election there, Clacton is "special place".Carlos Slim wrote: ↑09 Oct 2026, 09:00 What's the latest with the inquiry into his finances?

I see he's back sticking up for Vlad, saying Burnham is a lying about Russian interference in the Brexit vote.

The follow up comment “looks like he’s dying for a crypto” was pretty funny also.Ayode almost as unfunny as Nish Kumar, The Crystal Maze reboot with him as the presenter flopped massively and was axed a bit like Kumar's unfunny Mash rubbish axed on the BBC and even axed when it moved to Dave.

Yeah, pretty rubbish. Hislop's quip about him needing a crypto was especially poor from him, he usually at least has a bit of wit about him - but there's no pun there about 'needing a crypto' it doesn't sound anything like need a dump, does it. But I think left-wing comedy is just crap in general, I look at their comedian's like Nish Kumar and Howard Russell and just think wow, these people are so fvcking dull, so safe, zero creativity.
