Facts are FACTS and the facts are Whittaker is shite , , The minuite he steps up to a agressive puncher with a bit of balance a good dig and a detremination to actually win , the hype train will crash ,

Hearn is currently scouring the world looking for his next hype job , he can spread his bullshittery about

Eddie's roster is getting kinda thin on actual talent at the moment to be honest. He needs a star. The best fighter he's got right now is Tiah Mai Ayton (at least as far as dominance in their division). He better keep her happy at least

🚨 Anthony Yarde’s team reached out to Ben Whittaker’s team about a potential fight, but the offer was turned down.

Whittaker’s team told Yarde they would need around another 12 months before taking the fight.

Yarde said:

“‘We tried to get that fight, his team came back and said he would need another year… If that fight got offered to me tomorrow I would take it, for obvious reasons.’”

Whittaker is going to be about 50 years old by the time he’s ready to step up at this rate.

I think it makes sense for both actually. Yarde has lousy footwork and telegraphs his right, but he is reasonably tough and would try to win. If Whittaker beat him it'd do wonders for his prospects, and should he lose he could just retire much sooner with less damage taken.

Hiding in the hedges for another year won't reduce traffic on the road. He won't improve technically at this point and it's only downhill for him physically, so I doubt there'll ever be a better time to roll the dice.

I like that hiding in the hedges analogy :TU:

I disagree that it won’t reduce the traffic on the road though. I think Team Whitaker’s strategy is to wait for Bivol, Beterbiev, Smith, Yarde, Buatsi et al to either retire or to become so diminished that Ben would stand a chance against them.

Those guys are on a Sunday drive when Whittaker needs em on the motorway!

Bert might fall off quite soon, but Bivol could beat him for years to come. Small chance of a Pirog injury I suppose. Whittaker's style doesn't lend itself to his mid 30s.
