Wardley vs Clarke I alone was better than any of the Williams/Sprott/Skelton/Harrison domestic fights. Unless we're limiting it to specifically right now, that's still this era.

The British HW boxing overall is more talented and more entertaining than the 00s era.

That means the best fighters move through domestic level faster but, to me, that doesn't make me think the Williams Skelton, etc era was 'stonger'

I would say the Harrison, Williams, Sprott, Skelton, era was more exciting at domestic level leaving aside Fury, White, joshua.

This era of tshikeva, okolie, clarke, riakporhe and fisher is really quite poor.
It was more exciting and competitive 'because the British and European titles meant more to those fighters. That is one of the points I was alluding to'.

Note: British boxing back then, fighters still progressed through the ranks in a more old fashioned manner 'from my personal perspective the domestic fights had more significance. And there was more jeopardy involved if they did not win'.

Now? that is not the case 'you have fighters completely by passing this level, like Moses Itauma 'he was a undeserving World title challenger, Derek Chisora with his recent wins over Pulev, Wallin and Joyce deserved a world title fight more'.

Overall the main point I was making is that in my opinion Frazier Clarke would have been beaten by all of those fighters etc.

I think Clarke beats them all. Martin Rogan stopped Skelton.

That was a really, really good fight. Right up there in Lonsdale classics.
Wardley in my mind wasn't proven up until then.
Turns out he was the best British champion in ages.

Joyce was the champ before him. Dubois before that.

Yeah but Fabio has that four fight run. Dubois won it from Gorman and lost to Joyce which wasn't very illustrious and Joyce moved on straight away.

In terms of reign, i definitely agree. Most just use it as a stepping stone, I don't think many thought he was going to be able to make the step up that he did, including his team.
