Devin Haney Signs DAZN Deal, Keyshawn Davis Mandatory Fight Expected Next
Devin Haney has reportedly joined DAZN on a multi-fight deal, with Keyshawn Davis expected next as his WBO mandatory.
BoxingNews.com reported that Devin Haney has signed a multi-fight deal with DAZN, with Keyshawn Davis expected to be first in line under the new agreement.
The report puts Haney on a path toward a WBO welterweight title defense against Davis after the Shakur Stevenson talks failed to produce a signed fight. That makes the broadcast move more than housekeeping. It gives Haney a platform, gives Davis a likely title shot, and pushes the Stevenson fight deeper into boxing’s calendar mess.
Haney’s latest move also lands in the middle of the sport’s sudden platform scramble. Teofimo Lopez is already attached to DAZN after the PBC deal, while Ryan Garcia has his Sept. 12 fight with Conor Benn under the Zuffa Boxing/Paramount banner, keeping names like Ryan Garcia tied to the same welterweight business picture.
The wider boxing lane has been moving fast around broadcast homes, title mandatories, and free-agent pushes. Haney now becomes one of the bigger pieces on DAZN’s board at welterweight.
Haney’s DAZN move shifts the Stevenson picture
The Stevenson angle is the immediate fallout. Stevenson has been tied to Zuffa Boxing, and the broader Dana White boxing push has made platform politics part of almost every major fight conversation in the division.
Haney choosing DAZN leaves Stevenson without the most obvious dance partner on his new side of the street. It does not kill the fight, but it does make Davis the next practical problem for Haney before that bigger name-vs-name matchup can get rebuilt.
Davis has already reached championship level, and a Haney fight would move him into a larger commercial lane. If it arrives as Haney’s first DAZN appearance under the new deal, it becomes both a mandatory defense and a platform statement.
For DAZN, the play is obvious. Haney, Lopez, and potentially Garcia give the platform a major piece of the welterweight board. For Haney, the Davis mandatory comes first, and the Stevenson fight becomes the thing everyone keeps circling after the business is handled.

Re: Devin Haney Signs DAZN Broadcast Deal
Very big news.
Being told that the signing of Teofimo Lopez & Devin Haney to direct DAZN contracts were a direct dead on shot at @EddieHearn by @DAZNBoxing Excutives, & was done for multiple reasons that I will not discuss or disclose publicly. But know this, Eddie Hearn has absolutely fallen out of favor with the DAZN Boxing head honcho's.

Re: Devin Haney Signs DAZN Broadcast Deal
The @DAZNBoxing page looks like this now. See below. I’d imagine the exclusive deal it signed @Realdevinhaney to in July that I reported on at the time will soon finally be announced.

Haney positions for marquee fights as DAZN deal becomes official
Devin Haney officially has a home.
The WBO welterweight beltholder, who also has been world champion in two other weight classes, has signed an exclusive multi-fight deal with DAZN through Devin Haney Promotions.
The Ring’s No. 8 pound-for-pound is excited about the partnership and the doors this could open.
“I’m at a point in my career where I want the biggest challenges and the fights the fans want to see,” Haney said in a statement. “I’m excited to partner with DAZN. This agreement removes any doubt or uncertainty about my ability to make major fights in boxing. I’m in position to fight anyone, and I’m focused, motivated, and ready for whoever is next.”
While Haney is focused on fighting the best, he’ll also look to get more active. The 27-year-old hasn’t fought since scoring a clear unanimous decision over Brian Norman in November to win the WBO title at 147 pounds. The Ring’s No. 1 welterweight failed to secure a fight against Shakur Stevenson, but he pivoted to IBF titles Liam Paro as reported by The Ring's Mike Coppinger on Thursday. The unification bout is expected to take place before the end of the year at a venue to be determined and featured on DAZN.
Stevenson, The Ring and WBO junior welterweight champion, was unable to come to terms with Haney (33-0, 15 KOs) due to their difference in weight. Stevenson wanted Haney to adhere to a 10-pound next-day rehydration clause. Haney refused, leading to the fallout.
Paro, from Australia, defeated Lewis Crocker on points on June 24 to become a two-division champion.
Britton Hardin, head of Boxing North America at DAZN, is equally excited to have Haney on board.
"Devin has proven that he belongs on boxing's biggest stages," Hardin said in a statement. "He is an elite champion, a proven headliner and one of the most influential figures shaping the future of the sport. This partnership creates the opportunity to deliver the marquee matchups fans want while bringing the next defining phase of Devin's career to DAZN's global audience."

DAZN signs Devin Haney to multi-fight deal; competition for Benavidez, Garcia poised to be fierce
Three-division champion Devin Haney provided DAZN another prime, young talent Friday, signing a multi-fight agreement with the company and separating further in its competition with the new Zuffa Boxing promotion.
As the week began with Zuffa Boxing releasing four-division champion Shakur Stevenson, 25-0 (11 KOs), before he ever fought for the Paramount+ and Turki Alalshikh-linked company, the alliance of Las Vegas’ 27-year-old Haney, 33-0 (15 KOs), and DAZN closes it.
“I’m at a point in my career where I want the biggest challenges and the fights the fans want to see,” Haney said. “I’m excited to partner with DAZN. This agreement removes any doubt or uncertainty about my ability to make the major fights in boxing. I’m in position to fight anyone, and I’m focused, motivated and ready for whoever is next.”
Boxing Scene reported that following Haney’s collapsed talks with free-agent Stevenson, WBO welterweight champion Haney was turning to a unification bout against IBF champion Liam Paro of Australia.
The union also intensifies the competition between DAZN and Zuffa Boxing/Paramount+ over pending free agents David Benavidez, a three-division champion fighting for three cruiserweight belts December 5 on DAZN, and popular WBC welterweight champion Ryan Garcia.
By previously signing WBA welterweight champion Teofimo Lopez, DAZN offers a tantalizing option for Garcia in addition to the link with Haney after he and Garcia fought to that 2024 no-contest marked by Garcia’s three knockdowns of Haney and Garcia’s three positive post-fight tests for the banned PED Ostarine.
That potential rematch may be the most anticipated fight that the sport currently offers.
“Devin has proven that he belongs on boxing’s biggest stages,” said DAZN head of North America boxing Britton Hardin. “He is an elite champion, a proven headliner and one of the most influential figures shaping the future of the sport. This partnership creates the opportunity to deliver the marquee matchups fans want while bringing the next defining phase of Devin’s career to DAZN’s global audience.”
In its prepared statement announcing Haney’s signing, a DAZN official wrote, “The agreement brings another elite championship attraction to DAZN’s growing U.S. boxing business and further strengthens the platform’s position as the destination for boxing’s biggest fighters, promoters and most anticipated matchups.”
Haney previously won lightweight and 140lbs titles, defeating three-division champion Vasiliy Lomachenko along the way, before defeating Brian Norman Jnr in November for the WBO welterweight belt.
Earlier this week, his father-trainer-manager, Bill Haney, showed on social-media posts he was engaged in talks with DAZN officials.
“Building Devin Haney Promotions into a global championship brand has been a long-term vision of ours, and this partnership marks an important milestone in that journey,” Bill Haney said in the statement.
“We developed Devin from the ground up into an undisputed [lightweight] champion, a three-division world champion and one of boxing’s elite global attractions. Now, alongside DAZN, we can apply that same blueprint to growing the DHP roster, developing future champions and delivering elite events on the global stage.”
