I've always been quite critical about Hrg as a boxer, but he's great value for chat lately. I'd make him the likeliest unifier if he hadn't studied defence at the Pulev school.

Re: Dub, we all know what Jeff Powell's about on here, but check this:
Ukraine's war hero will have watched Dubois annihilate the gallant Fabio Wardley and recognised that Dynamite Daniel is no longer the callow youth he wiped the canvas with a couple of times during his reign as the undisputed world champion.
Yeah mate, let's rescind that credit for the pre- and borderline-fade Usyk, cos really he was lucky to catch Dubois before he activated. Back when he was a callow youth in... checks date... July 2025.

He was 27 years old then as well. A pro of 8 years with a record of 22-2. He's chatting utter nonsense in every possible way.

Danny D is great when he's on top. His problem is when he knows he can't land on the guy and keeps getting smacked in the mush for good measure

I watched the 2nd Usyk fight again recently and Dan wasn't at the races. Like he knew he was beaten. The first knockdown was soft

He’s not a smart boxer. He won’t ever beat a smart boxer.

This is it.

Danny will never quit as long as he is landing (I don't county the fractured eye socket vs Joyce)He knows he hits hard and can cause serious damage,

However, if he is not landing and is instead getting pinged, then he thinks 'screw this' and gets out.

It is why I never thought he would swallow vs Wardley in the first fight

Just goes to show what a phenomenal boxer Usyk is. A pure artist.

Some big lump like Danny D just maurading forward and smashing up giant men like Miller, Hrgovic, AJ and Wardley, yet a cruiserweight non puncher put the fear into him and stopped him twice.

Usyk was the best of this generation by a mile

He’s not a big puncher, I wouldn’t call him a non puncher though.

I agree with 90% wholeheartedly but he has had Joshua and Fury falling around like drunks, and put DDD on his ass.

He may not be prime Foreman but he definitely hits hard enough

Fury's delayed reaction might be the crux of it: the power isn't huge but catches unaware.

Back at cruiser Gassiev, Dorticos and Perez seemingly hit harder, and maybe also Briedis and Kalenga among his contemporaries. I think Usyk's power is in Opetaia's ballpark. But in the case of dropping Dub it was plenty for an essentially free shot.

Other than an exhausted Moses, what is Hrgovic's best KO win?

He has 16 KOs in 21 wins but just how big a puncher is he?

Allen then McKean are his best stoppage wins.

Here we go guys. Looks like people are beginning to go into overdrive with Daniel Dubois.

Note: Daniel Dubois is without a shadow of a doubt, a bona fide world champion 'and a world level fighter. But people are getting carried away with his last performance'.

Every single time Daniel Dubois has fought at elite level 'he has been smashed. Plain and simple. Fabio Wardley may have been world champion, but as I have stated before? Wardley has lost 95% of all the rounds he has fought above domestic level before he even stepped to Dubois'.

I personally don't rate Filip Hrgovic very highly 'I would back both Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua to beat him'.

But with Daniel Dubois you never know 'If Hrgovic could stay in there, and just be consistent. Dubois may just break down'.

Daniel Dubois was knocked out twice by Oleksandr Uysk 'he is not impregnable'.

But I will admit? Daniel Dubois would be the favourite to win currently right now 'if that fight was made next' etc.

Daniel wins.

If Ituama didn't derail himself by not looking after his stamina, I don't think anyone would be having this conversation.

Sanchez and Kabayel are much better fights than Hrgovic, unsure who would win in Sanchez vs Dubois, but I think Kabayel has the footwork to frustrate and decision Dubois.
