Yep something like that , don’t think they want a 12 fight card on fight day , got to be hardcore to sit outside for 7/8 hours , could actually see 5/6 title fights on the main card , which is not good news for all the promotors who think they’ve been given slots on the card .

I just assumed they’d start the main card around 9/10 pm rather than 6/7 pm.

Have prelims couple hours before

Joshua's punch resistance 'lower than it's ever been'

Shawn Porter thinks Anthony Joshua’s punch resistance is "lower than it’s ever been” as he prepares for his long-awaited fight with Tyson Fury.

The former heavyweight champions will headline a Ring show at Cardiff’s Principality Stadium on December 11, live on Netflix.

The widely-held assumption that both boxers have seen better days hasn’t affected the British boxing fan’s appetite for the fight. Around 700,000 were reportedly waiting online when tickets went on sale last Friday.

On July 5, the fight came perilously close to collapsing when 36-year-old Joshua (30-4, 27 KOs) was dropped twice in the opening round before stopping relatively unknown Albanian puncher, Kristian Prenga, in the second.

Although 38-year-old Fury (36-2-1, 25 KOs) has had to pick himself up off the canvas time and time again during his career, two-time welterweight champion, Porter, believes "The Gypsy King" will win and that Joshua’s resistance has eroded more by a decade spent campaigning at world championship level.

“I've always used the analogy of car crashes,” Porter told talkSPORT.

“Even in fights that you win, you still get little things, right? They're little scratches. In time, you paint over them, you know? But in the heavyweight division, they're big crashes. Even when you don't go down, those are dings. Those are dents in the car.

“I think the older you get, it's harder to heal. The list kind of goes on from there. The punch resistance of AJ is lower than it's ever been.”

The fight between Fury and Joshua has always been painted as a classic battle between boxer and puncher.

Joshua was talented enough to win an Olympic gold medal but Fury has always looked the more adaptable of the two and has been confident enough to use different styles in his biggest moments.

In 2015 he traveled to Germany and outfoxed Wladimir Klitschko over 12 cat-and-mouse rounds to become the unified heavyweight champion.

In the second of his outstanding three-fight series with Deontay Wilder, Fury turned bully and used his size and strength to push the dangerous American onto the back foot, dominating him until he fight was stopped in the seventh round.

Porter doesn’t seem to think that Fury will go looking for the knockout against Joshua but isn’t ruling out the possibility of him finding a finish.

“Tyson's never really been a fighter that really sits down on his punches,” he continued. "We saw him do that against Deontay Wilder. We saw both those guys go down in their trilogy.

“I don't see Tyson Fury putting AJ down. However, there's no secret that he doesn't have that same punch resistance that he used to.”

my prediction right now is a similar fight to the AJ-Wallin one, but Fury puts up more of a fight. probably totally wrong but that's the way the wind is blowing in my mind today.

This fight is now 7 weeks away… and there is no undercard announced… this is silly stuff. Either they know, in which case tell us, or they don’t and people are not going to get a proper camp..

Not only should you know your fighting more than 7 weeks out, you really should know your opponent…

Let’s say you stop propper sparring 10 days out. If they announced it today, and it took people a week to book/organise appropriate sparing… that would give them 1 Month… and that’s kinda best.

Fine if these fights are all brittish levle…(would be disappointing), but if they stack the undercard people really deserve more notice.

AJ by TKO in 7/8 rounds
If Joshua's chin didn't look quite so bad I think this would be spot on.

Fury has never had the safest chin as shown by his numerous trips to the canvas. His consistently low level of opposition has merely allowed him to get back up and survive .. and a very generous referee in the one time he fought great opposition who put him over. At this stage Fury's chin is not much better than Joshua's.

Fury looked better than he was against Usyk simply because of his size advantage, but as Ngannou showed, take that away and you see the real limited Fury .. against Joshua he has no real height advantage and will be at a huge strength disadvantage as he was against Ngannou.

Fury will try to steal a decision as he did against Wlad. Joshua will look at just landing that one punch to end it .. Joshua is likely get up if he is put down by Fury simply because Fury doesn't hit like Dubois or even a Ruiz. But Fury will not get up from being put down by Joshua .. Fury will never have been hit as hard as Joshua can punch.

It's 50:50 though because both are shot to bits .. I lean towards Joshua landing first.

Doesn’t matter. The main even sold out the stadium anyway.

I think they do have in mind the fights for the undercard and the boxers involved probably know as well. But will probably announce it at a later date.

Joe Cordina agrees to terms with Pacquiao on Fury-Joshua bill

Former IBF junior lightweight world champion Joe Cordina is poised to end a year-long layoff in his home city.

There has been plenty of speculation surrounding Manny Pacquiao's in-ring return in recent months.

The 47-year-old Filipino legend was encouraged to continue boxing professionally after his 12-round majority draw against then-WBC welterweight champion Mario Barrios in July 2025.

Yet while several names and proposed fights across multiple weight divisions have been rumored, nothing has materialized.

Matchroom Boxing chief Eddie Hearn shared that while not official, everything is settled for a big chief support bout preceding Tyson Fury-Anthony Joshua at Cardiff's Principality Stadium on December 11, live on Netflix.

"We've agreed terms to fight Manny Pacquiao but, I'm not saying it's done," Hearn told The Ring on Thursday.

"We were approached about the fight, agreed the purse and now we're waiting to hear. I think Pacquiao-Cordina at Millennium Stadium would be wild, a kid from Cardiff fighting Pacquiao after everything he's been through recently as well. Hopefully Sela make that fight, Pacquiao is in for it and that's what we'll get."

Pacquiao-Cordina would be contested at welterweight. If agreed, this would represent a first fight on British shores for Pacquiao (62-8-3, 39 KOs), who has long shared his desire to fight in the country before retiring.

Fantasy fights against welterweight duo Amir Khan and Conor Benn were explored but fell through over the past decade, and the 2025 Hall of Fame inductee will end a 17-month layoff should terms be agreed.

BS reported last month that Pacquiao had an agreement with Sela to feature on the Tyson Fury-Anthony Joshua undercard with four British names offered up as potential opponents.

Cordina (19-1, 9 KOs) was originally training for a July 4 shot at WBO world lightweight champion Abdullah Mason, after outpointing Gabriel Flores in a December 2025 final eliminator.

Pending criminal charges saw him denied a US travel visa, though the case was dismissed on October 20. A judge found the 34-year-old not guilty of assault following a trial at Cardiff Magistrates' Court.

The former champion's lawyer Nadeem Majid would later tell the assembled media: "Joe would now like to continue to concentrate on his family and boxing, and we'd all like to see him on the bill in December."

Mason scored a come-from-behind stoppage win over Albert Bell in Cordina's absence, and has been open this week about returning sometime in December to make his second title defense before the year ends.

Tyson Fury rules out retirement, might sign '10-fight deal'

Tyson Fury insists retirement is not on his mind as he prepares to face Anthony Joshua in Cardiff, Wales, on December 11.

Now 38, Fury has even suggested he could fight another 11 times after the heavyweight showdown, which many have predicted could bring the curtain down on both fighters' careers.

Fury has been a professional since 2008. Seven years later he claimed three heavyweight belts when he upset longstanding champion Wladimir Klitschko. In 2020, Fury began his second reign when he defeated Deontay Wilder to win the WBC belt.

Fury, of course, has a history of saying one thing and doing another. He has announced his retirement five times, each time promising never to fight again, only to eventually reverse his decision.

Now, it seems, he is looking further ahead than ever.

"I'm going to continue," Fury told WSVN Miami.

"I've got two fights left on my contract.

"I'll finish the contract off and then probably sign another 10-fight deal. Who knows?

"If the money's right, [I'll] sign another 10 fights, but they've got to be quick because I'm getting older.

"And when it's gone, it's gone. I'm coming up to fight No. 40."

Fury, 36-2-1 (25 KOs), ended his latest hiatus in April when he returned to outpoint Arslanbek Makhmudov before stopping Mariusz Wach three months later.

Prior to that comeback, Fury had not fought since suffering consecutive defeats to Oleksandr Usyk in 2024.

I highly doubt he does it... but I have always kinda thought the Lil world tour rack up a pile of d grade wins isn't a bad shout... I think it suits AJ more...

Go fight some Chinese heavyweight at the birds nest, some Japanese heavyweight at the Tokyo dome, some Indian heavyweight at a 150,000 person cricket stadium... some Spanish lad at Barca, some aussie at the mcg... these would all be ridiculous events, require good local undercards and cheap tickets (cause you aint seeing shit)... but I kinda feel like it could be done (might make a bit less money but get to fight against a million. People around the world)... do one a month... build so.e momentum..

He can barely motivate himself for megamoney fights.

A 10 fight deal, he'd be fighting until he was 70.

Filed under, Fury just talking for the sake of it.

If he beats Joshua easily, or get absiolutely walloped, it will be his last fight, if it's close, it's a rematch.

Tyson Fury turns to proven knockout formula for Anthony Joshua showdown

Tyson Fury promised at last month’s press conference to confirm his December 11 showdown with Anthony Joshua that he’s planning to start fast and win by early KO. To assist his mission, Fury plans to come in close to his career-heaviest weight.

Fury weighed 268lbs for his April comeback victory over Arslanbek Makhmudov and had shed a further three-and-a-half pounds when he beat Mariusz Wach in July. But he won’t be getting any lighter.

“Big boy 280lbs incoming,” he wrote on social media.

“Not your average build. However, the love handles are used for energy.”

Fury’s weight has fluctuated throughout his career. He’s been as low as 245lbs (for bouts against Martin Rogan and Vinny Maddalone in 2012) and, for his rematch with Oleksandr Usyk in 2024, he was as high as 281lbs.

“I know you’re afraid but I won’t hurt you,” Fury informed Joshua in September.

“I’ll make it a quick KO, so you can get back to your business work, being a landlord and stuff.

“I’ll make it very fast, and I’ll make it pain-free for you and your team… It’ll be over quickly.”

Though Fury, 36-2-1 (25 KOs), is known to make things up as he goes along, Joshua would be wise to be wary of his opponent’s approach.

In February 2020, with only days to go before his rematch with Deontay Wilder in Las Vegas, Fury informed everyone at the pre-fight press conference that he was going all out to score an inside-the-distance victory.

Few believed him.

After all, in their first bout in December 2018, Fury had been dropped twice by the then-unbeaten WBC heavyweight champion. The bout ended in a draw, with Fury seemingly at his best when boxing from range.

But before the rematch, Fury hit the scales at 273lbs, an increase of almost 20lbs from the first fight. Some observers feared he had not trained properly.

What followed was Fury at his greatest as he clobbered Wilder into a brutal seventh-round defeat.

Joshua, 30-4 (27 KOs), weighed 251lbs for his July victory over Kristian Prenga, when he was dropped twice in the first round before turning the tables to secure victory in the second.

It now seems that he will not only give away three inches in height to the 6ft 9ins Fury, but also a significant amount of weight.

Deontay Wilder vs. Jai Opetaia added to Fury-Joshua card Dec. 11

Clear your schedules because December 11 just got a whole lot bigger.

Former WBC Heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder will clash with reigning cruiserweight world champion Jai Opetaia in a co-feature of the Anthony Joshua vs Tyson Fury super fight at Principality Stadium in Cardiff, Wales.

Wilder (45-4-1, 43 KOs) comes into one of the toughest matchups of his career after a hard-fought split-decision win over Derek Chisora in April. Wilder, 41, has been a The Bronze Bomber has one of the most feared right hands in the division's history, and he'll be looking to unload on the undefeated Australian.

Opetaia (31-0, 24 KOs) brings heavy hands to his heavyweight debut. The former Olympian claimed The Ring and IBF belt in 2022 and has been on a tear since, recording seven knockouts in his last nine fights.

December 11 had already promised to be an unforgettable night, but Wilder vs. Opetaia could provide fireworks before the main event.
