Very similar to most of Canelo's fights in the last 5 years.

Similar to the last few years of Floyds career.

They just know too much, don't take risks & pile up the points.

Who's better than Mbilli at 168? Not many can beat him.

107–101 Canelo
Well that just shows you how bad the division is. Mbili is extremely ordinary

116–111 Canelo who's okay with losing the last round but hurt Mbilli in the last few seconds.

Good statement from Canelo in the last round.

Very polished performance. Anyone waiting around wanting to make money off his name, may have to wait a while yet.

Wide victory for Canelo but let’s have it right, Mbili is bog standard, he posed no more danger than John Ryder or William Scull did.

Mbili was awful and never took any risks. It was like he was a paid sparring partner. Awful fight. I can’t wait til Canelo retires for good

118-109 for Canelo Alvarez, who threw more combinations than we’ve seen in years. Lot of competitive rounds over the first half but Alvarez took control over the second with clean, precise counter punching. Christian Mbilli had some moments but expected more pressure & activity.

116-111 Alvarez, thought he was excellent for most part, counter punching was on point, defensively was sound, even on the ropes didn't take much clean, tucked up and rode the punches, he was getting home with some big right hands, and wicked body shots, Mbilli tried to put him under pressure but struggled to land anything of note, point off him in the 8th was terrible, Canelo's decision, Mbilli had a wee resurgence late on when Canelo's work rate dipped but Canelo had it in the bag, still life in the old dog yet

Canelo will probably next fight in May then again in September.

His options for May are.....

Iglesias - No chance
Sheeraz - Good chance
Martinez - Good chance
Bank/Alimkhanaly - OK chance of Bank/Slim chance of Alimkhanuly
Munguia - OK chance

Any others?

Canelo outlanded Crawford in 10 out of 12 rounds with power punches, he just doesn't throw his jab a lot. Canelo also threw more power punches than Crawford in 10 rounds, Crawford only threw more than Canelo in one round.
Interesting data 👍🏼
And clearly highlights the limits of supposedly objective data. Crawford controlled that fight and won a very clear victory. The above does nothing to change that.
