Personally I think they are still too afraid of him.
It's tricky. To win a Republican primary you'll probably need him, but when it comes to the general election, he's a huge liability.

If the Republicans get trashed, what seems very likely to happen, then I imagine that is the end of the unfailing support for him in the party. The people who are up for election in 2028 will want distance from him, otherwise they jeopardize losing their seats.

It is also possible, that the truth about the Epstein files will come out and he might have to resign.

I don't believe that I will live to see the full release of the Epstein files, there are too many powerful people implicated who will do everything in their power to supress the most damning contents.

What is more likely, is they will have a couple of sacrificial lambs thrown to the wolves of the press, and then the rest will remain buried.

What amazes me in this day and age, is that the contents of the unredacted files haven't been leaked.

To be honest, Trump's supporters don't care, at least not about Trump's own implicated involvement, they'd either scream fake news, or just shrug it off.

It would take many prominent republicans shouldering the wheel to make anything happen.

They'll let the evidence of the Epstein files out only when A.I. has come far enough that they can claim any video you see of them doing anything inappropriate is simply A.I. and fake.

That would probably be their defense already if they released the stuff today.

Don't tell him that, he might think it means something totally different. :OhYes:

It's maybe too early to predict but it's looking like a potential bloodbath tonight. Democrats look like they might be picking up seats in States they haven't won in decades.

Keisha Lance Bottoms becomes first African American woman to become a Governor in the U.S. She will become Georgia's Governor after she was massively outspent by her Republican billionaire opponent.

If they lose SC that points to a very, very bad night for the Republican party.

If this continues I think it is a clear repudiation of Trump's policies.

A pundit on the news coverage called this a reckoning. Can I please get some royalties? I said it first. :OhYes:

NBC called race for "tranee" Annie Andrews. That's what Demented Donna called her. Guess it didn't work. :oo

CBS News calls it, Dems flip the House.

Some predicting they could get 245 to 250 seats. That's a massive swing.

Talarico looks like he will win Texas Senate seat. Out with that trash Paxton.

Trump is going to be a lame duck President for the next 2 years. He will now have a leash around his neck reigning him in.

Chances of removal via impeachment are basically zero for Trump. Even if Dems have 55 seats they're not gonna get a dozen Republicans to go for it.

For Hegseth, maybe 10-15% chance, although even then I doubt it as most of the centrist Republicans who might have gone for it are gonna be gone.
