Maccarinelli vs Haye?

Post by Rocky Balboa »

I know there has been talk of Enzo's next bout being against Bell, but I want to see him take on Haye. I believe a lot of people would be greatly interested in this one if it did materialise. I hope it does, but am not optimistic.

Allegedly allegedly has said Enzo woulds beat Haye if they fought. Well, there is only one way to know for sure. One of the best aspects of this fight, are both both boxers are known for their power, but their defense still needs improvement.

I for one would like to attend the fight if it did take place. Wonder where it would happen? London or Manchester?

What worries me about Haye is that his struggle to make 200lbs is well-known. Enzo does not seem to have this problem. I would back David to win, but it could be turn out to be a gruelling-type fight. Maybe this bodes well for David, maybe it does not. What do you think?

Anyway, all the talk of Enzo facing Oneil Bell next is premature, IMO. I do not think Maccarinelli is ready for Bell yet. Anyway who would you back to win if the bout were to happen?

Haye has the better skills IMO however it really would be a 50/50 fight

Enzo Bell?? Where has this story come from?

Haye Bell has been mooted as Haye will be WBC #1 IF he beats the italian next month, cant see Enzo Bell coming off though.

Warren has been trying to hype that fight for some reason.

Strange how no one mentioned the H word after the Hobson fight. Would be a good fight but I think Haye would win handily he has been conserntrating on his defence and jab of late would make him difficult for a less skillful opperator like Enzo to deal with.

Enzo said in the post fight interview at the weekend that he wants to fight Bell.... I think that's probably where the story started

Nice fight if it came off, but would like to see Haye fight Bell, then maybe a unification with Macca if Haye beat Bell.

Can't see why Warren ius trying to push Enzo into a shot at the top guy in the division, this goes against all the WBO/WBU route stands for!

As for Haye-Macarinelli well i would always previously of leaned towards Haye because of his better technique but if Macarinelli could survive the onslaught early and land some meaty body shots then i don't see how Haye can last the pace against the Welsh puncher.

Haye's stamina and resolve are still major question marks in my eyes.

Haye is slicker but Enzo has proved he can fight at a decent pace for 12 rounds. Haye has proved nothing over a longer distance he did as little as possible against Abdoul over the 12 rounds. If Haye doesn't win early Enzo will destroy him in the mid to late rounds.

Enzo has yet to share a ring with a top 15 cruiserweight.Something which Haye has done twice(Thompson and Gurov were both top 10 easy)
I want to see Enzo in with a genuine top fighter.I think thats when he will get beat again.
The guy has top power, but lacks real quality. He also has question marks over his chin.

Perhaps, but I'm not sold on Haye. Gurov was top 15 but there for the taking. Thompson beat Haye last time I checked! ;-)

Haye doesn't have the best chin in the world himself. One left hook or right hand from Enzo on his chin and Haye will be counting stars! The opposite is true also, which makes for a great fight.

Be honest I ain't sold on Haye either. His defeat to Thompson was down to lack of stamina more than a poor chin. But he did get dropped heavily by Mock back in the day.He has the tools, but the guy thinks he is already a legend, and seems more interested in partying to me.
I would love to see the two match up,but don't think it will happen.
Haye keeps banging on about moving up and I fully expect Enzo to go down the WBO madatory route.
If it does happen,it could well be a question of who lands first, and IMO thats Haye.He is better offensively than Enzo.
But as you say,it has the potential to be a cracking fight.

Bell won'6t be around much longer. Cunningham could end up being the top cruiser.

In short, Enzo and SN are lying buggers. They've just got a WBO belt for free, why would they risk all of that?

What next? Rematch with Dominguez? Give Gurov a crack?

British boxing needs Enzo to fight people like Haye. We need home grown rivalries, and since Enzo KOd Hobson with an ILLEGAL PUNCH, he should fight a guy like Haye. Hell, both guys would probably make more fighting each other than if they fought Bell on some obscure Warrior's Boxing card with limited PPV that no one wants to buy!

Bell isn't coming over here. Not after stablemates Johnson and Miranda lost controversial away fights. If Enzo goes over there, it is he who'll get stopped by illegal shots.

Possibly, Enzo has proved he can gut out a win though in a tough fight - Haye most certainly hasn't. Haye might win by a 1 punch KO but you'd think Enzo would win any prolongued war. His conditioning is light years ahead of Haye's!

Haye just doesnt need Enzo. He will fight Bell, then move up, win, lose or draw.

Why go in with a freak puncher on the domestic level?

Haye seems to have major stamina issues. Unless he can improve his stamina I think Macarinelli would get a late KO.
There seems to be something missing from Haye, he just doesn't seem to have that fighting instinct. In his last fight he threw like 3 punches a round. The guy seems like he's coasting all the time.

Anybody know whether Giacobbe Fragomeni poses any sort of threat?
